    Default Your Brand Extension

If you could make your own rosters for Raw and Smackdown right now, using the current roster, who would you choose?

    Raw General Manager: Ric Flair

WWE Champion, CM Punk (Top heel)
    Ryback (Top Face)
    Wade Barrett
    Daniel Bryan
    Rey Mysterio
    Randy Orton
    Dolph Ziggler
WWE United States Champion, Antonio Cesaro
    The Miz
    Cody Rhodes
    Damien Sandow
    Christian
    Drew McIntyre
    Heath Slater
    Prime Time Players
    Brodus Clay
    Ted Bibiase

    Smackdown General Manager: Mick Foley

World Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show (Top Heel)
    John Cena (Top Face)
    Sheamus
    Kane
    IC Champion, Kofi Kingston
    Alberto Del Rio
    Jack Swagger
    Mark Henry
    Justin Gabriel
    Jinder Mahal
    R Truth
    Sin Cara
    The Uso's
    CoBros
    David Otunga
    Evan Bourne

I got lazy and didn't really care about anyone else, so I'll leave the rest up to the supplemental draft on WWE.com haha..

At this point there isn't much of a brand extension (other then for house shows) however for the purpose of this thread I'd have it look something like this.

    Raw Roster

    Christian
    CM Punk
    Cody Rhodes
    Damien Sandow
    Daniel Bryan
    Dolph Ziggler
    Drew McIntyre
    Evan Borune
    Heath Slater
    Jack Swagger
    Jey Uso
    Jimmy Uso
    John Cena
    Kofi Kingston
    Mark Henry
    R-Truth
    Randy Orton
    Rey Mysterio
    Ryback
    Santino Marella
    The Miz
    Zack Ryder

    Smackdown Roster

    Alberto Del Rio
    Alex Riley
    Antonio Cesaro
    Big Show
    Brodus Clay
    Camacho
    Curt Hawkins
    Darren Young
    David Otunga
    Epico Colon
    Hunico
    Joe Hennig
    JTG
    Justin Gabriel
    Kane
    Primo Colon
    Sheamus
    Sin Cara
    Ted Dibiase Jr.
    Tensai
    Titus O'Neil
    Tyson Kidd
    Trent Barreta
    Wade Barrett

    Tag Team Division

    Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd
Los Luchadores (Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara)
Team CoBro (Santino Marella & Zack Ryder)
Uso Twins (Jey & Jimmy Uso)
    ----------
2 Man Band (Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre)
    Curt Hawkins & Trent Barreta
Fortunate Sons (Ted Dibiase Jr. & Joe Hennig)
    Maxican Mafia (Camacho & Hunico)
Primetime Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil)

As for the diva's I'd keep them duel branded.

Personally, I wouldn't. I've been one of the most ardent brand extension supporters over the years, but I've had enough. There's not enough depth in the talent pool to support two rosters. Not even if you include possible developmental call-ups.

Eventually (by that I mean within the next two years, maybe WMXXX) unify the WWE and World Titles. But keep the U.S. and Intercontinental Titles separate That way you have just as many titles around as during the Attitude Era (incl. the NXT Title). Don't do something stupid like bringing back the European/Hardcore/Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight/Other Titles. Especially not the European Title, it was a prop they were going to use to push British Bulldog into the main-event but then Montreal happened and screwed their plans up. Anyway, the U.S. Title is more prestigious and U.S. > Europe.

I'd unify the world titles and the IC/US titles already (pretending that the contract with Mattel isn't an issue) and have the WWE Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, Tag Team Championship and the Diva's Championship be the four existing titles.

My only problem with that is that WWE have a weak main event roster, but have a pretty good mid-card roster. One title is enough for the main eventers but the other guys need a second mid-card title. especially if the Intercontinental title is elevated back to what it used to be.

Brand extension changed wrestling for me in a bad way. It definitely helped kill ratings.

Brand extension is dumb, always has been. But if I had to split the roster, leaving out the part-timers/legends and at least keeping a few I don't really like just to balance the rosters:

    RAW

    Big Show
    CM Punk
    Cody Rhodes
    Damien Sandow
    Curt Hawkins
    Brodus Clay
    Ezekiel Jackson
    The Great Khali
    John Cena
    Kofi Kingston
    Mark Henry
    The Miz
    R-Truth
    Randy Orton
    Ryback
    Sheamus
    Zack Ryder
    Santino Marella

    Smackdown

    Kane
    PTP
    Alberto Del Rio
    Antonio Cesaro
    Camacho
    Christian
    Daniel Bryan
    Dolph Ziggler
    Epico
    Evan Bourne
    Heath Slater
    Hunico
    Jack Swagger
    The Usos
    Jinder Mahal
    JTG
    Justin Gabriel
    Primo
    Rey Mysterio
    Sin Cara
    Ted DiBiase
    Tensai
    Tyson Kidd
    Yoshi Tatsu

There are several more on Smackdown then Raw, but SD would be more wrestling-orientated, therefore more matches and that means a few more wrestlers. Raw is more entertainment-based, still left a good roster and most of the bigger stars.

Regardless of whether or not a brand split is a "good idea" (I think it is), I'll take a swing at this.

    WWE Raw
    CM Punk
    Ryback
    Kane
    The Miz
    Alberto Del Rio
    Ricardo Rodrigues
    Randy Orton
    Damien Sandow
    Cody Rhodes
    Kofi Kingston
    Brodus Clay
    Titus O'Neil
    Darren Young
    David Otunga
    Ezekiel Jackson
    Heath Slater
    Drew McIntyre
    Jinder Mahal
    JTG
    Michael McGillicutty
    Johnny Curtis
    Curt Hawkins
    Santino Marella
    Derrick Bateman
    Trent Barreta

    Eve Torres
    Layla
    Kaitlyn
    Aksana

    WWE Smackdown
    Big Show
    Sheamus
    John Cena
    Dolph Ziggler
    Daniel Bryan
    Antonio Cesaro
    Justin Gabriel
    Rey Mysterio
    Sin Cara
    Rey Mysterio
    Primo Colón
    Epico Colón
    Ted Dibiase, Jr.
    Tensai
    Tyson Kidd
    R-Truth
    Yoshi Tatsu
    Zack Ryder
    Christian
    Hunico
    Jimmy Uso
    Jey Uso
    Jack Swagger
    Camacho

    AJ Lee
    Alicia Fox
    Natalya Neidhart
    Tamina Snuka

A nice mixture of characters and workers on both brands, with Smackdown more worker-oriented, and Raw more character-oriented. Smackdown gets a MASSIVE boost in star power with Cena, Mysterio, (arguably) AJ Lee, and Bryan (who can be on any brand he wants to while he is the WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS ). Intercontinental Champion stays on Raw, US Champion stays on Smackdown, with plenty of workers on either brand who compliment their styles. Cesaro has smaller guys to murder, Kofi has guys who can ground him that he'll work better with as a high-flier with minor technical chops. Oh, and as far as the tag division goes:

The Samoan Soldiers (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
International Air Strike (Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd)
Men of Mystery (Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio)
Mantastic (Derrick Bateman and Trent Barreta)
Prime Time Playas (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil)
Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes)
Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane)
Puerto Rican Nightmares (Epico and Primo Colón)
La Aristocracia (Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez)

Not too shabby, if I do say so mysmself.

Not sure what could work for that title, the Television title, the European title. There's only so many titles you can do. I do agree we need to combine the World and WWE titles together again. And then boost the IC title which I cannot see happen unless the Miz-Kofi feud lasts a half of a year which is long for WWE feuds these days. I mean we complained about Sheamus vs. Del Rio after what two pay-per views?

Personally the main thing I would do is focus on building tag teams instead of having guys that are mid carders acting as a tag team. I like Hell No and Rhodes Scholars but I want to see more real teams like the Rockers, the Beverly Brothers and the numerous other teams that have existed in the years. Yeah we can have the R-Truth/Kofi teams when they hit their walls in single action but I would rather see more true teams.

We complained about Sheamus vs. Del Rio because the feud was balls. It had no real direction and no real heat, it was just "YOU'RE A PEASANT" "I'M GONNA KICK YER ASS, FELLA" *Brogue Kick* "I DEMAND A REMATCH."
