Every WWE announcer/commentator/interviewer is a jerk

Why does WWE go out of their way to make their entire announce team (except for the oh-so-perfect-and-infallible good ol' JR) look totally unlikable?

Michael Cole for the last few years was utterly insufferable. Matt Striker barely got a chance to even figure himself out before going back to being the smarmy punching bag. Josh Matthews is the new smarmy punching bag who is now out to sue the company, which makes no sense because no one has any real reason to like him. And JBL is a Texas-sized prick.

Scott Stanford's the only guy that can be seen as an actual enjoyable human being to be around...AND HE'S NEVER AROUND!!

Todd Grisham, gone. Jack Korpela, gone. And all they did was call the damn show without trying so hard to be a part of the show as a character.

Why can't WWE just have an announce team that just...announces? Why are they all jerks?
