Worst Raw rating in 15 years.

Monday's RAW broadcast drew a 2.48 (2.5) cable rating, the program's worst rating for a non-holiday episode since October 27, 1997 (which drew a 2.3). This is below the rating for the Oct. 1, 2012 show, which garnered a 2.54 in comparison.

The three-hour program averaged 3.55 million viewers, beating a year-low of 3.50 million viewers on Oct. 1. RAW drew 3.58 million viewers in the first hour, 3.65 million in the second hour, and 3.43 million in third and final hour.

Viewership for the third hour was a year-low, below 3.47 million viewers on Oct. 1. It was the tenth consecutive week where third hour viewership was below viewership in the second hour.

It's worth noting that RAW competed with a presidential debate, game seven of the NCLS baseball game and a Monday Night Football game featuring the Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears so the drop was expected. The presidential debate drew over 59 million viewers.

Not good... Definitely some changes have to be made.. I wonder where they go from here. Different names being pushed? Maybe layoff some of the backstage soap opera drama? Safe to say, whatever they are doing right now creatively just isn't working

Final 10/1 Monday Night Raw rating, lowest in 15 years

The 10/1 WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 2.5 cable rating with an average audience of 3.5 million viewers. The first hour drew 3.44 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.60 million viewers and the third hour drew 3.47 million viewers. This is down from last week's 2.72 rating with 3.79 million viewers.

It is the lowest non-holiday rating for Raw in 15 years and is now the lowest rating for the show since it moved to a new three hour format on 7/23.

I know I was watching the debates last night instead of Raw. Frankly, compared to playoff season in baseball, the typical Monday Night Football game, and the last debate of a contentious election, Raw simply wasn't a big enough deal for a lot of folks. In fact, the fact that they had 3 and a half million viewers is decent, considering what they were up against.

But, of course, "lowest rating in 15 years, Vince better panic, rabble rabble rabble!"

It is not a surprise to me. I know almost all of the St. Louis Cardinals fans were watching the playoff game including me. I watched RAW late on Monday.

Add the Monday Night Football game and the Debates to that and you have a lot of people watching other stuff that would normally watch RAW.

I know Cards fans are great but how can you stick with such a depressing outcome for much of that game? I had the same feeling of game 4 for the Yanks and was just so disgusted of watching that I could not finish the game. Can't imagine seeing that on a game 7.

Obama and Romney had the better storyline and promo of course. Better draws. Fans were expecting a run in by Romney's son on Obama during the promo.

Most Cards fan always stick with the game no matter what. It was the last game of the season if they lost, so I imagine most Cards fans wanted to see the finish even if they lost for that reason.

I actually thought there was a decent amount of wrestling on the show this week. While I'm sure they expected this due to all the other events, I wouldn't want them using that as an excuse to saddle us with more segments and drama over actual matches.
