    Default Wrestlemania 29 & 30

    Wrestlemania 29

    Punk vs Cena - WWE title match
    Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar
    Chris Jericho vs The Rock

    Wrestlemania 30

    Cena vs. The Rock - WWE title match
    Punk vs. Austin
    Undertaker vs. Dude Love/Cactus Jack/Mankind
    Sheamus(c) vs. HHH - World Heavyweight Championship title match
    Chris Jericho vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman

    Personally I would stay away from Undertaker vs Cena, I dont see the build up being very good. Undertaker should have fueds with villains and I think Taker vs Mick Foley could have a great fued if done right.

    No one seems to consider Chris Jericho when it comes time to talk about potential main event level matches. Jericho vs Rock fued could be great. I see it now, Jericho returns to WWE while interupting The Rock's promo.

    What do you think?

    Only story I can think of regarding Cena/Taker is Cena challenging the Streak to prove himself. Of course, he will probably beat the Rock next year so when 30 comes along this will be his biggest match left.

    I feel like Rock and Jericho are done, they had this great ending at a show in Hawaii.

    They've got to do Taker vs Cena. It'd go down as the biggest missed oppourtunity in ages if they avoid, plus it's the one Taker match left with unpredictability.

    I'm sure they are saving Cena/Taker for 30. They should, it's the biggest match left for Taker and should be the 30th anniversary. I hate waiting another year, but it will be worth the wait.

    It's a good card, so don't get mw wrong. However, I'm one of the growing many that thinks it's time for the next generation to get their chance. Guys like HHH, Taker, Austin, Rock, etc they all entertained us for years, but for the most part their best days are behind them physically, and they've had their "moment." But guys like Bryan, Rhodes, Ziggler, etc are the guys that we will eventually have to be our main event guys. So with every passing mania where the WWE once again goes to Rock, HHH, and the attitude era gang that's another missed opportunity to make this generations Rock or Stone Cold. So if WWE keeps using the attitude era guys like they have, before you know it the "next" generation will already be too far along in their careers to make any of them the top guy.

    Please don't be stupid like WWE. Wrestlemania 30 is the 29th anniversary of Wrestlemania. That always pissed me off about 25.

    I'd say hold out Cena-Taker for WM30...it's a big one that will literally have the crowd wondering if Cena would go over Taker to end the streak. Let Taker vs Sheamus headline WM29 with Sheamus proving himself vs the bigger Big Show. Sheamus will be confident in how he took down Big Show with the Brogue kick, that it looks as if knocking Taker out with it would only be easier. The build up could have Sheamus landing it on Taker, Taker not being able to sit up and having trouble with Sheamus. HBK could then take the role of trying to convince Taker that his time is drawing near and Sheamus is too strong, with a great weapon (BKick) and in his prime. HBK would then say that he (HBK) wasn't in his prime. Triple H wasn't in his prime. But Sheamus is and he doesn't believe Taker could win. That Taker should imagine sweet chin music x10 with the Brogue kick from a bigger, stronger and prime Sheamus when Taker's already fallen to chin music in the past.

    I'd like to see Ziggler get a chance to prove himself on the WM29 stage...the same way Miz was given the opportunity

    I agree in part. I do think there should be some guys moving up the ladder, but lets face it, Brock, Rock, Taker, HHH etc are still here and WWE is going to showcase them going into Mania 29 and of course a blowout for Mania 30. I do think new guys need to step up and as far as the new guys getting main event type matches at Wrestlemania, I think its Wrestlemania 31 for the next generation of guys.

    The reason I dont want to see Cena vs Taker is because I can picture a terrible fued. Both guys probably respect each other(Kayfabe) so what is it respect vs respect angle?? Thats lame. I want to see Taker fued with guys who are going to torment him going into his match at Mania.

    No one really cares about that. It's still the 30th WM, therefore it's an anniversary. Besides, anniversary WMs are never the best, but maybe they will change that with 30. Hell, 21 was way better than 20 IMO.

    Barring injury or Vince not throwing enough money around I would bet that the WM's will go like this;

    WM 29;

    Cena vs. Rock 2
    Punk vs. HHH
    Brock vs. Taker

    (on a side not I don't think a 3 way between Punk/Cena/Rock is out of the question)

    WM 30;

    Cena vs. the Undertaker (Taker's retirement match)
    Punk vs. Steve Austin
    Rock makes some sort of guest appearance.

    Here's a better question...who will WM 31 be about when all of the Attitude will likely be gone by then?

    Its funny to me to think that even 14-15 years later WWE still doesn't have any two new era guys yet that can sell a WM the way the attitude guys can.

    They better hope Ryback's push works out for them because there's not a lot left in the main event scene as in the star department...unles they're planning on dragging another 3,743 matches outta Punk/Cena.

    It's really hard to say at this point. CM Punk will be nearing his expected retirement, Cena will be pushing 38, and a lot of the current "future" talent like Ziggler and Miz are only a year younger than Punk, so they may never get the top guy billing that Cena and Punk have gotten. I see two possibilities for Wrestlemania 31. In one scenario they're still struggling to build a new star and we get some impossible to predict smattering of matches between the current main event and upper midcard of Cena, Punk, Sheamus, Miz, Ziggler, and Bryan. In the other, WM 31 will mirror WM 21 in that the fresh crop of top guys will be getting their first moment in the sun, a la Cena and Batista winning their first titles. I honestly don't think we've seen the debut of the next big guy though. It's probably some guy who's 26 and in FCW or NXT right now, and I'm not sure we can sit and say that it'll definitely be Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins. Because was anyone sitting around and saying that John Cena and Batista were going to be huge back in their OVW days? Someone in the back probably was (at least for Cena) but I doubt anyone on the internet was (I may be wrong about that though).

    If Brock had stuck around, he would be one of those guys. But he's been gone most of the decade. Angle could have been too but for health reasons he's been gone for 6 years. For this generation, Punk could be the guy if he agreed to keep coming back every few months or once or twice a year instead of just retiring altogether in a few years and never coming back. Cena will probably be like Taker and return for a big match here and there or maybe just Mania, although not for a few more years.
