3 Royal Rumble '13 Questions

1. Who would you pick as the first two contestants in next year's Rumble match?

2. Who would you book as the final four in the Rumble match?

3. Who would win it and who would be the last to get eliminated?

For me, I would start it out with Kane and Daniel Bryan.

Final four would be Bryan, Cena, Lesnar and Orton

Cena takes out Orton, then Lesnar takes him out from behind. Bryan and Lesnar go at it for several minutes, Bryan eventually eliminating Brock to win the match.

To me, I would have Dolph Ziggler (vs Sheamus) and John Cena (vs The Rock) enter as champions

- Lesnar comes in and blindsides the returning Undertaker, eliminating him. Undertaker comes back in and eliminates Brock in 4th place.
- Kane goes for a big boot on Bryan, but AmDrag ducks it and flips him over.
- We're down to entrant 1 vs entrant 2. Already an hour in, they go another 6 minutes before Punk goes for GTS, Bryan reverses, goes for an elimination, but Punk spins it and throws Bryan over instead.

I thought about doing Punk dropping the title to Rock earlier in the night, coming back out late in the Rumble, eliminating Cena last to win the Rumble. But Rock's title match is going to headline. No doubt about that.

I'd start with Bryan and Rhodes. Give both of those guys great showings with at least 5 eliminations each.

I don't really care about the last two questions, but for me the starting 2 should be Daniel Bryan & Kane, whether they're still Tag Champs or not. Both are capable of staying in the ring for a long time if need be, and they would put on such a great show in the opening minutes.

Nah, didn't make it up. It's not been confirmed by any major dirtsheets yet, which is why I simply stated it's a rumor. It's currently being reported by SuperLuchas.net, which is a fairly reliable source, granted nothing like the Observer or The Torch or Insider.

I really like the team Hell No opening idea if the Rumble was being held today, but it wouldn't have nearly the same effect without the "dysfunctional tag team" angle, and I don't see that angle continuing to play out for the next 3 months.

For me, I'd like to see an established star open with a rising star and let the rising star get a deep run so he can get the "he's been in the rumble for X minutes already" rub. So start with say... Alberto Del Rio (established star, but not really a threat to win this year) and Kofi Kingston (rising star, could use the rub).

Final four? Again, its always nice to have a new face in the Final Four, someone who you don't REALLY think can win, but can get elevated by being one of the last four. Especially effective if he has a run from the middle numbers. Jack Swagger can fill this role really well.

Second, you should be able to set up a WM grudge match, and the final four is a great place to do that. With that in mind, I'd have the other 3 contestants be Undertaker making his return, John Cena and CM Punk with a SUPER late number to make up for the fact that he's already wrestled during the night (and lost) vs. the Rock.

It doesn't really matter who eliminates Swagger, just being there and holding his own for a bit makes him look stronger in the end. The final three you have CM Punk eliminated by the Undertaker. Punk, in a fit of rage, gets back into the ring and KOs Taker with a GTS, with Cena looking on in disbelief. When Punk tells Cena to throw Taker over the top rope, Cena goes full boyscout and refuses to win the Rumble that way. Punk turns to leave in disgust but then ambushes Cena and plants him with a GTS as well. Punk then picks up Taker and eliminates him himself, leaving John Cena lying in the middle of the ring, your Royal Rumble winner and he goes on to face Rock at WM. Punk vs. Taker is set up as well.

Have Cena cost Rock the WWE Championship in his match with CM Punk to set up a heel Cena against a face Rock at WM 29, WWE won't be daring enough to turn Cena heel though

Cena enters Rumble after losing WWE Title to Rock after beating Punk @ TLC. Ryback Eliminates Cena, Brock attempts to eliminate Punk, but Ryback eliminates Brock as he's doing this. Down to Punk v Ryback & Brock pissed he got eliminated comes in & F5's Ryback & just starts a beatdown on him eventually leading to Punk eliminating Ryback

Is anyone else really conflicted about the Rumble as I am?

It's a really enjoyable match and I love seeing 30 superstars go at it and all the entertaining possibilities but in the grand scheme of things it's not nearly as relevant as it should be and I couldn't care less who actually wins.

At least with MitB they've basically signposted who their new champion is going to be with the RR, that doesn't have a great strike rate and it doesn't even land you in the main event spot anymore.
