Just thinking about how cool this match would be. Here's how I would book it:
Fall #1: About the 20 minute mark, Punk kicks Bryan below the belt while the ref is distracted, hits the GTS for the pin.
Fall #2: Punk works on Bryan for awhile, never giving him a chance for a comeback. At one point, he puts Bryan on the table and goes for the Savage elbow, but Bryan slips off the announcers table and Punk goes through it, then Bryan slips back in the ring and gets a countout fall.
Fall #3: Bryan puts Punk back in the ring, hitting him with a barrage of kicks and then finishing him off with a flying headbutt for a pinfall.
Fall #4: Over the next several minutes, Punk attempts to make a comeback but Bryan is on fire and he can't get an advantage. At one point, he rolls Bryan and pulls the tights and grabs the ropes for the pin.
Fall #5: After a nice back-and-forth for the next several minutes, Punk hits the GTS but Bryan kicks out. With less than two minutes left, he goes for the Anaconda Vice but Bryan counters it. So he hits him with a kick to the head but only gets a two count. He goes for the big elbow but misses and Bryan gets him in the LaBell Lock. He gets to the ropes but Bryan pulls him to the middle and puts it on again. Punk eventually taps with 8 seconds remaining. While faintly chanting YES to himself, he sees the clock expire and he becomes the champion.
I am imagining this on Smackdown, with Punk as the World Champion next year, having replaced Orton as Smackdown's new top star.
I realize a lot of people would probably prefer a clean IM match, but I'm thinking it won't be. Even with Bryan as a heel this year, their matches were clean and if they feud again next year, good chance Punk will be heel and isn't above cheating.
