Default Punk talks about his imminent retirement on Twitter

I know the idea of Punk retiring sooner rather than later is nothing new in the wrestling world. I find it rather interesting that Punk, more or less, revealed his target year for retirement via his Twitter account, where he has over 1 million followers.

    Here's how it unfolded:

CMPunk: Waiting until I get home to watch @WalkingDead_AMC
    So around 2015.

CMPunk: “@theboydello: @CMPunk you just started a rumor that you're retiring in 2015.”
Ain't a rumor if its true.

With Punk turning 34 at the end of the month, can you truly see him walking away at around the age of 37?

36 is a good point to call it a career.

Yea I really hope he retires because I do not like him as a person and feel he is a one trick pony. But he should put over Ryback and some other people and then leave.

    What is his one trick?

Many thanks to the one and only Fresh Prince of PW.

Just ignore the fact that he is a tremendous wrestler then, Ezekial.

Meh, he is a hit or miss for me but he did have some good matches with Cena, no doubt. I just don't see him as a top guy like Cena, maybe a upper-mid card veteran like Jericho that helps put over the younger guy. Nothing wrong with that !

Punk has come a long way as a worker. He was very good in ROH, then he came to Developmental/WWE and was terrible for like 3 years. I remember Stevie Richards was doing his Muay Thai gimmick better in matches with Punk

Punk's Muay Thai skills are as legitimate as Kelly Kelly's virginity.

I think Punk needs to put over Sheamus, Ryback and finally Daniel Bryan.

Zeke is entitled to his opinion, even if it is wrong.

I'll believe it when I see it. Punk has a habit of fucking with his followers on Twitter, and all his fans in general for that matter. It's a smart move to call it quits when you're at the top of your game though, especially in this business.

The Punk/Bryan feud was anything but dull, outstanding wrestling and some good promo exchanges
