I never had one that caused me to turn 180 degrees on a theme, but I'm way less into Punk's "This Fire Burns" theme after he came back with his indie music. It just seems like as a result that is like the corporate music that WWE pushed on him. Its a shame because I really liked that song, but I can't see Punk ever using it again.

I think 'This Fire Burns' was awesome for him, love Cult of Personality as a song and have done for years, but as an entrance theme I preferred Killswitch.

I always figured Punk just liked the song and wanted to use it. I doubt they forced it on him.

"This Fire Burns" fit him really well in ECW, and did him justice through it's run beyond that. I don't think it was Punk's choice though, they used it originally for Randy Orton on a Smackdown and it just didn't go over well and they axed it. So they probably felt they should give it to someone because it made for a great theme. Punk just happened to be there.

As far as Orton and "This Fire Burns," I hear he liked the song, but management didn't think it fit him because he walked too slow.

Also, Triple H's theme. Whenever I hear it, I know something long and boring and stupid is going to happen.

It really didn't fit when he does the slow walk and the arrogant Orton pose, this is when he was still in the pretty boy phase too. Really a mis-match. But he's apparently a huge Killswitch fan (as am I honestly).

As far as Triple H, wish they used King of Kings more, awesome theme.

HHH has a great theme, one of the best songs. I hate Orton's song, the singing is terrible.

The Bastard Son storyline. Because they turned Finlay face, they needed a more upbeat theme for him so the crowd would pop, and they actually gave him a good one for like, a week, before dropping it for Hornswoggle's theme.

God I wish they let him keep that.

After hearing just 30 seconds of it I completely agree, that sounds superb.

I can't say that theme music has ever really enhanced or hampered a storyline for me.

I still wish Punk would use 'This Fire Burns'. Cult of Personality does not fit heel punk.

I started to hate Motorhead during HHH Reign Of Terror. I had been listening to them for many years, but hearing them during HHH entrance made me think "WTF are you doing songs for that asshole". HHH is a great heel.

Not really, I haven't liked Kurt Angle's music as much since I found out TEAM USA came out with it at the 1997 Survivor Series as well as The Patriot. I watched wrestling alot during those periods too so I guess I just don't remember it being used but never the less. I still like "This Fire Burns" but Cult of Personality is much better.

I can see how This Fire Burns seems more heelish cuz it's a lot more aggressive, but now that Cult of Personality plays, it seems to go well with Punk, seeing how be acts like he's the GOAT now since turning heel.
