Default Kane: the most underrated WWE performer today

I'll preceed by saying I've never been the biggest fan of the Kane character, especially in the past several years. However, having said that, Kane may very well be the most underrated/underapreciated wrestler on the WWE roster, and here's why. First, he has years of WWE experience to guide the newer wrestlers in the lockerroom. His character has been evolved in such a way right now that he can on any night become a legitmate contender for a world title, but at the same time he can make a legitimate opponent for a title holder or potential title holder. We've seen recently that Kane can be funny and entertaining. And here's my thing for his wrestling/wrestling character; he's not the greatest wrestler, not the greatest brawler, not the greatest on the mic, but he is way above average in all those areas. But most importantly, he's one of only a few guys in the roster that you never hear anything bad about behind the scenes. I've never heard any stories of him complaining about his place in WWE no matter what he was doing in a storyline, and over the years there have been so many other wrestlers that have mentioned him as one of the best guys to work with in the lockerroom, such as Edge, Cena, HHH, HBK, and many others have said what a really nice guy he is. My basic point is Kane is a true leader in the WWE behind the curtain, and people like myself that understand there's a lot more to the show than what we see in front of the camera can appreciate what Kane, or maybe I should actually say Glen Jacobs, brings to the WWE.

Kane to me is one of the most underrated wrestlers ever much less on the current roster. His character has remained incredibly popular throughout the last 15 years. He always gets a reaction whether he is a heel or a face and he pulls off the sick twisted monster role better than anyone.

He's not Undertaker in the ring but he can hold his own and has had a few memorable feuds and matches. His micwork is fantastic as well and as you mentioned he can be funny and entertaining when he needs to such as how he is now with Bryan. I think he gets too much hate on here because of all his terrible feuds. No one has had more awful storylines like Kane has had and it really isn't his fault for that.

He isn't. Who cares if he can play a ton of different roles if he isn't particularly good in any of those roles? He's fantastic right now, I agree, but seriously, if you were to compile a list of the top 20-25 in ring guys in the WWE right now, I doubt Kane would be on many people's lists.

Hunico is probably the most underrated.

Tyson Kidd is probably the most underrated. IWC seems to love him but apparently almost no one in the WWE.

I agree with Blindy, Hunico has awesome matches with all kinds of people week in and week out and yet most people don't even mention him when talking about wrestlers they like to see more of.

Many thanks to the one and only Fresh Prince of PW.

I enjoy Kane as long as hes not in the main event. Kane should buy who ever came up with the idea team him with Bryan a huge bottle of champagine because this is exactily what his career needed.

Kane has always been a favorite wrestler of mine for many years.

I know he's not popular on the net, but for some reason I've always dug him. He's just an interesting character, entertaining, and he's fun to watch. He can bring the comedy goods when needed, but can also be serious, evil, and demented. For being such a genuinely nice guy outside of the ring, Glenn Jacobs does very well in portraying the complete opposite of himself in Kane. Him and Bryan teaming up has pure comedy gold from the get go, and they are without a doubt one of the highlights of the show for me each week.

I wouldnt call him underrated, he's entertaining as all hell right now. Thats just it, right now. No matter how much of a good guy he may be backstage, he didnt entertain me much after 2003 until they put it back on him. Now hes better than ever, but its just simply that.

It's the mask, its the got damn mask!

Seriously though I think Orton is still a bit underrated in the IWC.

It seems like he gets more shit about how boring he is on the mic and in promos than he gets props for his awesome work rate.
