    Default Yet ANOTHER nWo Thread!!!!

I know, I know, you all are probably wanting to kill me over this nWo stuff. BUT, I believe 100% that the nWo formula can STILL work. I guarantee that if the nWo came back, that ratings would go up significantly. Just like if DX were to reform, or even Evolution. Fans (me) love and mark for Nostalgia. Of course, I would want this nWo come back to make sense, and I think if it was done this way, that it would.

On Raw, Paul Heyman aligned himself with CM Punk. We all saw him drive Punk's car after he laid out John Cena. Now, with this, you have really drawn the line over CM Punk (nWo) vs John Cena (WWE). Cena represents your typical "superstar" that he has been against since his shoot promo last year, with John Cena being the poster boy of what WWE Management considers to be a star. So, I would run with this. I would keep John Cena and CM Punk going at a slow pace, definitely keeping Paul Heyman in the mix. Gradually, I would have Punk and Heyman drop hints that they no longer represent the WWE, etc. Big Show is still out also, and when he returns, I would pair up The Big Show with CM Punk and Heyman as well, to continue his feud with Cena from before Summer Slam. Then, you have CM Punk, Paul Heyman, Big Show as an "on screen stable" who "does not represent the WWE". I would have those three hype up a "big introduction", which everyone would assume it being Brock Lesnar. But, what do you know? Its Kevin Nash. I would have Nash return, and the new nWo is re-born with CM Punk, Big Show, Kevin Nash and Paul Heyman. I would have Brock Lesnar as maybe an ally of the nWo, appear with the nWo, but maybe not an official member of the nWo unless you combine his storyline with Triple H along with CM Punk and John Cena and book Punk/Brock/Show vs Trips/Cena/??? at Survivor Series. But, I would use this nWo momentum to make new stars, because that's what the WWE needs right now DESPERATELY is new stars.

A few options would be Cody Rhodes, and maybe bring back Dusty Rhodes to manage him since he was a former nWo member. Not only to make Cody a strong heel, but to make another strong face to help fight off the nWo. That strong face would be none other than Dolph Ziggler, who would be managed by Ric Flair.

I've heard the arguments, but, I still believe if you brought back this group and you put a wrestler in the group who may or may not be "over", that it would make them a Superstar one way or another.

I despise Nash for ever mentioning some kind of reunion.

I always wanted John Cena to start a faction and call it the Chain Gang.

    The 87% support Cena!

The Shield lost to Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Randy Orton at a house show in Anchorage, Alaska on 17JAN13. Don't believe the lies of the WWE announce team!

    Why nWo again?

It doesnt need to be nWo to be a success, in fact I think it would lean towards disaster if it were nWo2 rather than something fresh.

You are right though the nWo formula still can work and is working in TNA to a degree and fans are liking it.

As for the stryline idea, I had posted in another thread that WWE should run an angle where Heyman is an independent promoter who now runs with Punk and Lesnar, throw in Big Show and you have a dominant stable. The main premise would be WWE trying to get the belt back while the stable holds in hostage any ways they can. Maybe even setting up another Punk leaves with the title situation.

Well at least you're self aware with the title.

But no, this does not need to happen.

I'm on board under one condition. When ever the nWo come out Kevin Nash must carry what is at this point the near corpse of Scott Hall to the ring. Then just slop him down in the middle of ring just so I can hear him incoherantly slur out another "Hey Yo"... ***NOSTALGIA!!!!!!!***

The idea on paper is definitely a great idea! But using the nWo name can be tricky though. Storyline wise, WWE MUST tie it in altogether that Nash was a major part behind the scene pulling the strings with Heyman. Particularly in terms of the Lesnar vs. HHH situation. We all know about the feud HHH and Nash had last year. We know HHH came out on top as well. So having Nash get his revenge on HHH HAS to be paramount in having the nWo reform.

The nWo at its best should be a dream team of sorts. Seven or eight HOFers or young guys with the potential to get there. The original nWo at first had Hogan, Hall, Nash, Giant, Syxx, and Dibiase aboard. All of these guys are HOFers, even Syxx for what he did in terms of jr. heavyweights. From there, nWo should have just went with Hennig, Macho, and Poppa Pump. WCW could have swapped certain guys out for other young guys with great upper midcard-main event potential. Or for a another HOF level vet.

WWE needs to do the nWo in a similar light if recreated. Punk and Lesnar need to be the two main stars. From there I would definitely get Nash and Show. But from there, what guys do u get? I think a guy like Barrett would be great in the group. I would also want another technician in there besides Punk. So u could choose between Ziggler, Rhodes, or Bryan. I think one of those guys should be in there. If u want a guy in the developmental to get involved, then bring Ambrose up. From this, u could get 7-8 guys for a new nWo. But if WWE wants to get heavy on the star power, u could always turn Orton heel and control the World Belt while Punk holds the WWE belt. Lesnar would be ideal to hold the World Belt while Punk holds the WWE belt. But with Lesnar being part time, Randy might be better in that spot. Or if Ziggler wins the World belt and they decide to put him in the group, they could roll with that and leave Orton out of the group.

I do think the group would be EPIC without attaching nWo to it. For me, the only benefit for the nWo name is to tie in a conspiracy theory cooked up first by Lesnar, Heyman, and Nash. And then later, getting the ULTIMATE CATCH in Punk to be a part of it. If they aren't going to tie in Nash then it doesn't need to be nWo. I'm sure they could come up with a great name no doubt.

No matter the group name, I think Beth Phoenix would be a great diva to add to the stable. In terms of Flair-Ziggler, I think Flair should form a stable (have it based on Smackdown). I would keep them heels and have Ziggler and Rhodes involved. From there bring back a repackaged Jack Swagger or have Barrett join. If nWo does come back, they battled the faces and heels. So Flair's stable could still battle the nWo, especially with the non existent brand split on TV.

I think the idea could work, but with a new name. I also think Nash being apart of it could work too as sort of the old school guy co-signing the new generation as Hogan did Nas and Hall.

The trick though is making it seem like Heyman really is an outside promoter trying to control the wwe title. Even hinting at starting a new revolution with Punk possibly pulling a Shane Douglas.

Will the company ego allow this to play out though especially with Heyman in such a position.

Heyman just isn't an NWO guy. Doesn't fit with Nash at all, plus I've seen vids where Nash refused to ever work with Heyman without beating his ass first.

I say let the old factions rest in peace, NWO included.
