It is just me or does no one else care who taker fights at wrestlemania?

And I think he should just retire. Yeah it's great when his music hits everyone gets excited but he isn't what he was anymore and I genuinely think it's time to go.

I'm tired of ex wrestlers rocking up(excuse the obvious pun) and just fight one match a year.

If you don't want to or physically can't put the effort in to really build up a story then don't bother and leave it to the guys who fight week in week out!

Added to the should fight every week or retire list is, undertaker, HHH, Brock lesnar, Austin the rock etc

Either suck up do a Jericho and out in a solid 9 moths plus or don't bother and go make moves or reality tv shows.

No offence or anything here, but I do believe that Taker as an attraction at Mania will do more than Taker all year round. I was never a massive fan of him being the Guard Dog of Smackdown for T-Lo.

No one has delivered more solid main events over the last decade than Undertaker, except for maybe Cena who's been in like 10x more.

The Streak is possibly the most deep-rooted storyline in wrestling history. I get where you're coming from, but when 'Mania comes around and Undertaker comes back, I still get excited and so do 99% of us. Just the way it is.

If you love The Undertaker as much as you say you do, then I don't see why you have a problem with his one match a year.

This is really a nothing argument. They've done a great job turning the Undertaker's streak into probably the most important thing in the WWE in the past few years, it's a massive draw for Wrestlemania and they're going to keep using it. Personally I didn't care for either of his matches against Triple H, I found them to be overly dramatic, self indulgent rubbish - so personally I wouldn't mind if it was all over tomorrow - but that's neither here or there. Quite simply, nothing they would replace him with would convince as many people to watch the show, and so the streak will continue for as long as he is physically able to do so.

Having listen to all you guys I'm man enough to admit I'm wrong about the undertaker but I still wouldn't mind a few sporadic appearances through out the year just to get those juices flowing hell he doesn't even have to appear just the lights go out and the bells hit just to shit out someone.

But the second part of my argument stands true as unlike taker who has the streak as a reason to be there,I'm still fed up of this return for one night only bullshit from others.

I was never a huge undertaker fan and personally I really don't care for him anymore. But the streak has become something larger than life and something people look forward to at wrestlemania so I guess they are gonna make him keep coming back at wm. Nobody expects a perfect non gimmick match from him anymore and even though I found HHH/taker a bit overrated, as long as he can have such matches hell probably be sticking around.

First, to each their own.

Second, if I am shelling out $60.00 bucks for the event I want a Taker match. He manages to put on great match every year, and he is still able to create a moment of doubt in each match where for at least a few seconds I manage to think "the streak is over!"

In saying that, when he does retire in 3-5 years I hope the WWE is smart enough to build new stars that can rightfully fill the hole Taker will leave.

One person I don't want to see come back is Stone Cold. Dude bores the hell out of me. All he ever does is ref matches, spill beer all over the place and leave. He hasn't done anything significant since 2001.

The whole "60 minute match" thing is so overstated to me. I think the ideal time for a main event match is 20-30 minutes, ideally closer to 30 for really huge matches. I don't see why any match needs to be longer than that, especially with the short attention spans of much of the audience these days.

And don't get me started on how Iron Man matches make the first 55 minutes pretty much meaningless.

Your first paragraph contradicts your second.

You said Taker is different because the streak gives him a reason to be there. Which is true.

So why does he need to appear at times of the year when the streak isn't a factor?

I wouldn't mind seeing an iron man match between the two as long as there are falls during the course of the match. However maybe save it as a mainevent for a non-Wrestlemania PPV?
