Default What draws you to watch WWE?

    Honestly.

I really think if Chris Jericho (despite saying he never will), CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan went to TNA, that would be the only show I watch. I know everyone rips on the current AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels & Kaz storyline, but that storyline is about the only thing going wrong with the company right now. Not to necessarily make this a TNA vs. WWE kind of thread, but I just don't find WWE entertaining anymore. I DVR it, and I fast forward to matches that have the potential to be halfway decent, and stick around to see segments of CM Punk just begging that he will drop a bomb shell and shake things up a little bit. There misuse of some of the talent disgusts me, they DEFINITELY don't care about midcard titles, and the World Heavyweight Champion hasn't had a decent storyline revolved around him since he won it. "Shit, Sheamus still needs a match, put him up against Del Rio for the fourth straight ppv." I understand the history of the company, but I don't see it ever living up to that kind of expectation again. I'm really about to finally give up on the product.

Aside from the 3 you mentioned there's Miz, Rhodes, Ziggler, Barrett will be back soon, Christian, Ryback, Booker now that he's smackdown GM, Mysterio, AJ and Ryder.

P.S: I know that shitting on PG WWE has suddenly become the cool thing to do but there's some really great in-ring talent, I guess it just gets glossed over since it's not "attitude" and there aren't guys trying to cut another guys cock off.

When Hbk retired, so did I. I only watch now on the odd chance he shows up. Read spoilers out of habit.

I follow out of habit, and also because I've been a fan of CM Punk since his early ROH days. It's nice to see a guy like him on top of the world.

Chris Jericho always draws me back in when he shows up too. His feud with Punk was the first time I watched RAW on consecutive weeks in years. I stopped watching when that was over, then got back on board now that he's feuding with Ziggler. Like him too.

Since I only stick to RAW (which makes me sad, because Christian and Orton are on Smackdown!), I have to admit...I'm a fan of Ryback squashes. It's brainless, shitshow TV, but god damn it I love that man.

I haven't been really hooked since WM time but watch every week just out of force of habit.. I get much more excited when I know Brock will show up but thats been rare (What a crappy deal WWE made with him). I can understand Brock not being on tv every week, but twice like every 4 months for that kind of money? Ridiculous.

Last summer with the Punk-Cena-Vince thing going was fantastic (until HHH got involved and ruined everything like always)

If we didn't have a Brock-HHH feud going into SS, I would be really soured on what is going on.. Since what they are doing with Punk's heel turn is downright awful IMO

If the 'E' in WWE was.....this ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpgmG...eature=related kind of stuff, I'd watch it more than 4-6 times a year.

The following are guys I must see on my TV:

    Michael Mizanin
    Christian
    Chris Jericho
    Jack Swagger
    Dolph Ziggler

Probably my Fab 5 and my 5 favorite guys and I'd say if 2 or 3 of them go, than I don't think I'd watch the WWE anymore.

With guys like Ryder/Ryback/Sandow/Bourne/Bryan there that I like a lot and the storylines/pushes they currently have(Besides Bourne)

Not much right now. If CM Punk got injured or left I would stop watching. I have given up hope that I will ever enjoy it like I did from '98-'02. Every year since then I keep telling myself it will get better and the opposite seems to happen although I did really enjoy the product from '06 to '08.

TNA I have thoroughly enjoyed recently and I wish they could expand more so they can become a realistic threat to the WWE but that also seems impossible.

Really the company itself. There's no one guy who I would stop watching if he left.

But the top five guys I watch for right now are:

    John Cena
    CM Punk
    Daniel Bryan
    Chris Jericho
    Christian

All we have is right now....

    Go hard or go home.

Please Human Tornado is entertainment overload, in a world where the Miz is considered entertaining Tornado would kill it. Sadly he is retired.

The pageantry, watching the new generation and their work in-ring & tbh this passionate community. I don't know if I'd care if some of you guys didn't.

    C.M. Punk
    Chris Jericho
    Daniel Bryan

There are a lot of other guys I like on the roster, but if those 3 guys weren't around, I'd probably just tune in casually whenever I didn't have anything to do. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch live or even on DVR. The only way they could keep me around full time without those 3 is if they booked heels as actual threats to the faces.

I hope and pray that you are right, I would love to see Tornado get a shot at the big time.

I always read up on the results. If anything sounds really good I can watch it on youtube, which is a more enjoyable experience than watching a whole show.

I am always giving the WWE a shot along with anyone else that makes their shows readily available, because I like wrestling. But I just never end up watching for long periods of time anymore. I still like watching CM Punk but I couldn't care less about most of the other guys on top anymore.

Christ what ever happened to Ruckus anymore? Ever since Sabian started showing up in TNA I kept wondering what happened to him.

I only watch online now, even RAW's. That way I can see if something is good and if it bores me I can hit the mute button and get back to work!

I only really order the PPV's and watch the segments I want to see online. Even using MyStar, most of the time is spent fast forwarding commercials. I mostly order the PPV as a social event, as a few of my friends are huge wrestling fans (Indy guys) rather than anything particular that draws me in. I'll try though

Mainly the product because I still find it entertaining. I can't ever see myself stop watching WWE altogether, even if a favorite of mine leaves or retires.

Some superstars in particular that I like to watch for:

    John Cena
    CM Punk
    Daniel Bryan
    The Miz
    AJ Lee
The Rock (I know he's not full time, but he's one of my all time favorites so I love whenever he makes appearances)
    Christian
    Chris Jericho
    Dolph Ziggler
    Cody Rhodes
    Rey Mysterio
    Kane
    Randy Orton
    Sheamus
    Zack Ryder
    Kofi Kingston & R-Truth

What makes me watch WWE over others like TNA?

    Production value, brand loyalty, etc.

Wrestlers come and go, but the McMahonistic style of sports entertainment is what I truly enjoy.

I only watch WWE for nostalgic elements. There's nothing in the current generation of stars or indeed the current product that holds any interest for me. It's way too dumbed down and far too PG. I watch Wrestlemania and the Rumble because you're always guaranteed some good old nostalgia in there, but otherwise I just read spoilers and stick to a wrestling promotion geared towards adults rather than kids (TNA).

The production value has a lot to do with it for me. Its one of the main reasons I dont lile TNA, and really it's what I hrew up on. Guys come and go but I always stay, even when a favorite jumps ship. Example, Jeff Hardy was one of my favorite wrestlers towards the end of his WWE run and I was sure I was going to tune into TNA more when he jumped ship. But I literally havent even made an attempt to watch since his debut. WWE is what I know and what makes sense in my mind. Some people call me brainwashed. But Im okay with that.

    Besides all that:
    Punk
    Bryan
    Cena
    Ryback
    AJ
    Sheamus
    Ziggler
    Jericho

Those performers make me care, a lot. Orton was on this list once upon a time.

It's mainly habit for me. I've always enjoyed the product since I started watching it properly in 2007-2008, but over the last few months the enjoyment I get out of WWE is decreasing. I find myself skipping more and more every week. It's mainly the matches. I'm getting tired of the WWE formula. It's burning me out. I know exactly how every match will be structured. This means I will often skip portions of the match, in particular the period of the match where the heel beats down the face. I've started doing this in big PPV matches too. I have no patience for the formula anymore. I know the heel will apply a rest hold, the face will hit a big move and start a comeback after a period of both guys being down, so why bother watching it? Sometimes I will skip matches altogether, only watching the finish. In a year's time I can see myself only watching matches from a select few if I haven't already stopped watching the product entirely.

It follows that the most enjoyment I get out of WWE is from the promos and storylines, and it has been that way for a while. I still love a lot of the promos and backstage segments I see. You can say what you will about the quality of the writing/stories/characters, but I love it. I love the entertainment aspect of the WWE, while the wrestling aspect is more often than not a chore to watch.

Since everyone else has done it, I will make a list, in no particular order, of "must-see" wrestlers. These are guys who get me excited, and guys whose matches I will never skip.

    Chris Jericho
    CM Punk
    Daniel Bryan
    John Cena
    Randy Orton
    Christian
    William Regal
    Drew McIntyre
    Cody Rhodes
    Damien Sandow
    Ryback
    The Rock
    The Undertaker

I also feel the need to mention the following: Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, Dolph Ziggler, Hunico, Rey Mysterio and Trent Baretta. These are guys who more often than not deliver entertaing matches in a setting that has become stale for me. However, I will give their matches a miss if they have a particularly boring opponent.

Many thanks to Stefan for the banner!
