I live in the area, so I don't need a travel package.

I do fully plan on attending, though. Extremely excited for my first live Mania.

I'm ridiculously excited. This will be my first, and seeing as Mania will most likely never be in Birmingham, AL in my lifetime, I'm gonna make the best of my NY/NJ experience.

Damn at the VIP package... I hate whatever rich fuckers can afford that shit.

Silver sounds like the right way to go. Floor seating isn't worth the money unless you're way in the front.

Is the HoF in the city, radio city possibly? I'm in Jersey so I'd be interested in that. Can't do a WM package. Kid on the way in Dec and just bought a new house so I am tapped but HoF would be nice

HoF is at the Garden, and Axxess is at the Izod Center, from what I've heard.

Don't do it. WWE makes a ton of profit off of these packages. They overcharge you for the hotel and never give you a break down of costs so you don't really know what is going towards what. We did the math for Wrestlemania 28 and it was very sketchy.

You would be much better off doing it all on your own.

I disagree, I think it's the easiest way to do a Mania. Everything you could possibly need is included and because it's done through WWE the seats you get are the best of the area that you're put in. I've done the packages 4 times now, 3 times silver and once gold and if you're going to do it, unless you can afford to do Platinum/VIP Gold is a waste of money. I went gold for WM 25 and while the seats for mania were on the floor I couldn't see a damn thing for all the effing signs and other shit.

Silver is best because you're in the front rows of the risers and you get a really good view of everything that's going on. Another plus is that the hotel is really nice, sure they make money off it but the atmosphere is usually pretty good, and the nice thing is everyone at the hotel practically is there for mania and good times are to be had. I've made some really good friends through doing the packages and if I were going again I wouldn't hesitate to shell out for a package. Plus it saves the hassle of trying to organise everything yourself, that would be a royal pain in the arse.

If it's your first mania then I'd recommend a package, everything is right there for you, it's all organised and you just have to turn up at the hotel, boom, job done. Silver is definitely without a doubt the way to go though unless you can afford the platinum or VIP, in which case I hate you.

I don't doubt that it's the easiest way to do it, because WWE takes care of everything for you. But you can save a pretty substantial amount of money by doing it yourself.

You probably could. If you could stand the hassle of finding your own hotel near where everything is going on during WM weekend, organising your own tickets for all the events (and getting the choice seats you get with a package), then by all means go for it.

I'm just saying it's been my experience that a package is the easiest way to do it is all. I've done it 4 times, WM 24, 25, 26, 27 and I'd do it again in a heartbeat with the package, there's no way I'd consider doing all that myself, way too much hassle.

Me and my friend are interested in going, is there an option to pay for the package in sterling?

You just have to do the conversion yourself, and work it out from there. I usually pay for it, and my friends pay me back (usually ). I'm not sure how they're doing it this year, one year it was PayPal and it was a royal pain in the arse, but I think last year I just put it on my debit card. They'll take your card fine, just work out the conversion with any of the currency exchange sites, that's what I usually do and it's worked out fine

I'm not gonna buy the package, because I'm a poor college student, but I definitely plan on making the drive up with some friends. I think our plan (OK, my plan that I have to talk them into) is tentatively driving up Saturday night, getting a cheap hotel somewhere within a 5 mile radius, catching at least one of the indy shows (ROH/DG/Chikara, probably just picking the best card), and then hanging out in NYC on Sunday before the show.

That is EXACTLY why I'm going with the package.
