    Default Same Old, Same Old

To quote Owen Hart " Enough is enough, It's time for a change!!!" Now let me preface this by saying that I am a John Cena fan. I'm not delusional, I know he's not the greatest worker in the world, and I get that he puts money in Vince's pockets with his merchandise sales but enough is enough. I have listened to alot of people say that the WWE makes it look more important to beat John Cena then it is to hold the World title. I don't know why I couldn't see it before but my eyes have finally been opened. The focus of every wrestler in the WWE should be to become "the man", to hold the world title. No if, ands, or buts. But week in and week out they make Cena the focus....Here comes John Cena interrupting Punk, oh well we gotta have Cena in the main event. WELL I AM FINALLY SICK OF IT !!!!! I hate to say this but I honestly hope he illegitimately gets injured, maybe a torn pec, a broken collar bone something, ANYTHING to not see him every RAW be the focal point of the show. Oh and I know some people would be in a panic....oh no we don't have Cena, and the depth of the roster is sooooo weak.....PLEASE, come on now. One who's fault is that??? And two how can you say that and be serious?? Is this roster weaker then when Stone Cold and The Rock were the focus ??? I say no, and here's why. I would take Daniel Bryan over Crash Holly any day....Would you take Bull Buchanan over Sheamus ?? Or how bout D'Lo Brown, Viscera or Heidenreich over Kofi Kingston, Brodus Clay and Dolph Ziggler ?? And there are others on the main roster now like Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Drew McIntrye, Jack Swagger and so on and so on, not to mention guys in developmental like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Chris Hero ( I refuse to call him Kassius Ohno) that could come up and become stars. I think you get my point. The WWE has the talent on it's roster, in developmental or out there that could be signed like MVP, John Morrison, Alex Shelly, Kevin Steen, Jigsaw, The World's Greatest Tag Team (tell me they are not better then who they have now)....should I go on ?? The problem is not the talent available, the problems are the writers now just don't put anything into developing new characters, Vince just wants to keep ramming the same guy down our throats (CENA) and they keep making their Champions look weak. Another perfect example was tonight. Now I'm not a Miz guy but did he have to lose to Kane tonight ??? Come on, he's the Intercontinental Champ, how does it help him to lose to Kane ?? Kane could take the loss and it not hurt him, but making Miz lose just makes your Champions look weak. Another thing that makes no sense is why was Kane not named the new Intercontinental Champ?? Every wrestler on that roster should me made to look like being a champion is his only goal, not just to win a meaningless match.....every win should be their way to build to a title shot.....they should make them look hungry for the title and pissed off if they are not getting that chance. Why are the Usos not attacking The Prime Time Players to try and take their oportunity from them ?? Why is Ryback just happy to beat Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks?? Ryback chants "FEED ME MORE" and the next week he's fighting Jinder Mahal....shouldn't be screaming "FEED ME MIZ" or "FEED ME MORELLA"?? No you have him go out and squash Hawkins and Reks and weaken your tag team division even more.....makes no sense. I'm gonna say it one more time....ENOUGH IS ENOUGH......IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE !!!!!! Sorry this post is so long winded, but after watching tonight's RAW I just had to get this off my chest. I'm a WWE fan but if they don't start doing some things differently I'm gonna stop watching. Why should I waste my time on the SAME OLD, SAME OLD ??

Wow, that was a difficult read.

It is just the way of the world - unfortunate as it is for people to have to face - Cena is a much bigger "STAR" than Punk. He doesn't need the belt but will still be the major focal point of the show. In much the same way Brock/HHH will main event SS as they are much bigger stars than Punk also. Doesn't mean it's right, just the way it is.

IMO they were right to have Cena/Rock and Cena/Brock close shows - however they should of had Punk/Bryan close MITB, that was a strange decision for me.

And hoping that Cena gets seriously injured....Unreal

Ohh great another anti-Cena thread. I am not a fan of the guy myself but lets face it, he is going to be the focal point of the show with or without the belt so there isnt any amount of internet bitching and bashing thats gonna change that. If it bothers you that much then just dont watch anymore. I am sure you have cable and an abundance of other channels to watch on Monday and Friday nights.

Like him or hate him cena has put in the hard work to get himself where he is now. Every generation has had wrestlers that unfortunately seem bigger than the belt, Hogan, Rock, Austin, HBK to name but a few(yes obvious names missing but not going to list them all). And again like it or not these are the reason we tune in every week, you can sit here and bitch about cena like every likes to and and has the right to, but the reality is you tun in to watch him wether or not it is to boo or chear him. And when you sit at home or in the crowd and boo cena and hurl abuse at him and go out and buy his rivals t shirt just to show how much you hate cena, vince and the wwe are laughing all the way to the bank because it worked!

He talked about other things than Cena you know... everyone is just so attracted to "anti Cena threads". He even said he's a fan of Cena.

He could have made his point without mentioning Cena, he knew exactly what he was doing and knew it would be a contentious subject just as and cena led discussion or for that fact any specific wrestler led discussion would be.

But is that why we still watch this crap, because it's all about opinions and this is why we are all massive geeks and have signed up to a wrestling forum ha ha ha

I feel where he's coming from, as WWE is too invested in Cena. They continue to put all their eggs in the Cena basket & one day that basket is going to break. I give Cena props for being loyal, hard-working & dedicated. But he should also be CONSISTENTLY entertaining, if you're the face of an entertainment company. Cena should've been a heel or gotten revamped a long time ago. It should've been him that turned heel, not Punk. I respect Cena & I even like him, when he's on.

But I don't blame Cena as much, I blame Creative, or the lack thereof. It seems like we've been watching reruns of the same show for the past 7 years or so. It makes no sense to have this huge talent pool that often-times goes untapped. From 1998-2002, WWE has created at least 2 LEGITIMATE main eventers. Nowadays, they drag their feet in doing so. They're afraid to take chances & fully get behind someone, something that hurt Punk's face push. How can they have a roster of damn near 60 people & have a nearly non-existent tag division? How can they have such a weak midcard, with all of the singles talent they have? How can fans get emotionally attached to a character, if they're not given an adequate amount of time to speak? WWE used to have star-making down to a science, now it seems as though they forgot the formula.

People in this generation have short attention spans & have a "microwave mentality". Therefore, the product needs to be enthralling, fast-paced, ever-changing, eye-catching & can't miss. However, they're just going through the motions & nothing noteworthy happens on a week-to week basis anymore. Before, Raw was must-see-TV & something groundbreaking happened weekly. New developments were made & new pieces of a storyline were added on with each week building up to the climax (PPV). Now it's just a bunch of #1 contenders matches, a PPV title match, a rematch the next night on Raw & the same shit in that order.

Yeah, where is Lord Sideous? He used to be on here all the time. He's the one that taught me how to post youtube vids on here back in the day before they revamped the page outlook.

He was banned a while back.

Reason I miss him is because he bitched about WWE a lot, but he was at least entertaining with it and brought something different to the table.

Everyone else just says the same generic shit about how Cena should be depushed, etc.

Jihad you definitely got my point. Thank you.

Champ yes I am a Cena fan but I feel the only way WWE is going to change anything is if it is forced on them by a Cena inury. I don't want to see him hurt so bad that he has to retire like Edge but something that will keep him out of action for alittle while so creative is forced to utilize others.

Someone mentioned how hard it was for them to get threw my post, sorry if that annoyed you but I ask you to go back and look what time I put that up. I was alittle tired but wanted to get that off my chest, I just kept typing, finished and went to bed. In future posts I'll make a point to break my thoughts up.

I understand the frustration with Cena being on top so long, really, I do. He's been the main guy in the company for seven years and counting, I can understand people wanting others to get more spotlight.

What I do not understand is wishing any kind of injury on a human being based on one's personal entertainment preferences. Qualifying it by saying you don't wish for his career to end doesn't make it any better. You still would rather he go through a tremendous amount of real physical pain just so that you can watch someone else be the most important guy in a fake sport.

I read this thread two days ago and was planning to rip Shoeless a new asshole for wishing injury upon Cena, but I was too lazy and waited...and Champ has already covered it now.

Now I have to comment on something else. Let's see...

Kane going over Miz makes sense because Kane has a big PPV match coming up and Miz doesn't I guess. It's still pretty ridiculous though. Kane could have beat anyone...why did they feed the IC champion to him? Their ability to treat their midcard like shit will never cease to amaze me.

When Eddie died, long before I discovered this place, I was on another forum where there was a thread, which the OP was praying for Eddie to be given back to us, and JBL killed instead.

That's pretty powerful heat JBL attracted there, but Jericho managed to get a Mexican fan to try and kill him for nothing in return. That is true heel power. Jericho: 1. JBL: 0.
