No undertaker for WM29?

The Undertaker appeared at a Florida Championship Wrestling event in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday and when a fan noted that like him, he attends WrestleMania every year, the WWE Superstar responded, "Well, don't make any plans for April..."

The fan was in disbelief over his comment. The Deadman added, "We'll see what happens."

Unless he is injured, he will be there. Either it was taken out of context, or more likely the Undertaker just want to keep it under wraps as they always try to sell his return as a "surprise."

Yeah, barring injury he'll be there. Outside of a few one off appearances Wrestlemania is pretty much all he does these days, if he was going to miss out on that too he might as well call himself retired.

I agree to an extent that Undertaker's legacy shouldn't just be so much about The Streak. Man, the guy has such a long career filled with so much other awesomeness that has nothing to do with The Streak that it's a bit of a disservice to him to think of The Streak as his legacy or something.

At the same time though, I guess it is practical because he doesn't seem to want to or physically can't wrestle much, if at all, outside of WrestleMania. Moreover, I like it in terms of it playing into the storyline that he lives for The Streak and so forth that was brought up in his matches with HBK and HHH.

Regardless of it all though, Undertaker is and continues to be my all-time favorite pro wrestler in the history of pro wrestling. Despite it all, if he's still able to go and wants to go, I'm all for him wrestling once a year at WrestleMania for the legacy of The Streak. I'll admit to my selfishness in that context because he obviously owes nothing more to this business or the fans.

Yes. They cant take a risk and get him injured and miss Wrestlemania. On the other hand it would be nice if he made more appearances.

For whatever the reason I just assume hes not gonna be at this years Mania, I dont know why other then I heard it being rumored that next years would in Texas (dont know if thats still the story) and I see him wrestling next year and possibly going into the HOF in his home town. I dont know why that would keep him out of action this year but maybe to build the anticipation and make it more of a event they hold him back 1 year and make next year all about Taker

I don't want to be wrong, but my bet is on him going till WM XXX. After that, he'll be done. 1 or 2 appearences a year should keep him going until XXX. He'll be the ABSOLUTE star attraction by then, and we may see the streak end. But probably not, they'll play it big as the Undertaker's FINAL match, and everyone will say he's gonna lose, but he will definitely win his career ending match.

Yeah I can see it coming to an end at WM XXX. I wouldn't worry too much about Taker only being known for the streak when it's all said and done.

The company will proclaim him the greatest superstar like they always do when someone retires for his career with Blu Rays and DVDs etc.

The streak is all that's talked about now because it helps draw for Mania with the mystique behind it. Its a way to keep him mythical.

I really don't see how the fan misinterpreted that quote from Taker, because it seems pretty clear to me that he meant don't make any other plans for April because I'll be there again.

Taker should retire after this year and headline the Wrestlemania XXX HOF, IMO.

Like other people have said, I doubt Taker's missing Wrestlemania 29...I wouldn't mind seeing a Sheamus vs Taker match...That'd be interesting to watch
