    Default Who is WWE's MVP?

This may be a really obvious question or it may spark a discussion.

When I mean valuable I don't mean the guys that makes the most money or a the guy who is champion so the obvious answers are cena and punk.

But thinking outside the box, what about Bryan who can pretty much carry a great match with anyone, or santino, who seems to be able to turn his hand to most opponents and deliver a solid match with the comedy angles that the crowd love or maybe it's the undertake who pretty much guarantees wrestlemania buys?

    Or is it just cena?

    Ziggler
    Bryan
    Punk

They're all guys that made the best out of a bad situation in their respective careers and now are reaping the rewards and are three of the best, if not the best, all round talents in the WWE.

It's obviously Daniel Bryan at the moment, he's the only guy doing anything that's interesting at the moment and quite frankly carrying the company in terms of quality on TV and PPV. His ring work is just brilliant, basically if he has a match over 5 minutes it's going to be the best on the card and he's already put up 4-5 classics on PPV this year. But his character is what's setting him apart from the other top tier wrestlers in the WWE right now (Punk, Ziggler, Christian) and he's just getting better and better. It's just hilarious to look back and see that people doubted that he had the charisma and acting ability to make in on TV when he's blowing everyone out of the water right now. He's the funniest character, he's the freshest and most appealing, and he's also the most interesting and diverse, with a really positive direction rather than just sitting on his laurels. With Punk's heel turn hitting the skids pretty early, Ziggler stuck getting Brogue Kicked every week and Christian's appaulingly booked IC title run - and other entertaining guys like Cody getting stripped of their character - Daniel's streeting everyone. If he went down with an injury (and lets hope that never happens) I'd probably stop watching tomorrow because he's honestly that important.

Now that's what I was after a name and a reason.

I totally agree with you about Bryan I think the kid has everything you need. Was it just me or was online else cracking up when he was screaming at the doctor ha ha ha ha

And while I'm at it still pisses me off that he lost in 18 seconds to that donkey sheamus.

I'd put my vote for Daniel Bryan as WWE's MVP at the moment. The guy just never seems to not be on the top of his game.

I'd also throw some very honorable mentions towards CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, and Chris Jericho... All of those guys seem to make the best of any situation they're put in and also tend to make whomever they're working with a little bit better than they were before.

He can sell like a champ so he's mvp? Billy Gunn sold like a champ too and never sniffed a world title. Londrick sold better than Ziggler as well and never..... Forget it. I'll stop there. The 'ziggler can sell omg' nonsense aggravates the shit out of me.

    It's. Been. Nine. Days.

    Jesus Christ, people.

That said, Punk, Cena and Bryan all can stake a claim to the WWE MVP. Punk has been the best face for the last year (up until the turn), Bryan's been the best character since December and Cena ... well, he's carried the WWE for seven years.

If the WWE has made anything clear in the past seven years, it's that absolutely nobody and nothing is more valuable to their company than John Cena.

And love him or hate him, the only time an arena comes fully alive is when Cena is involved, because the fans know, no matter what's going on nothing matters until Cena is apart of it, hence why the WWE champion hasn't main evented a PPV for the entire year so far, and will only do so when Cena is in the match with him.

Right now, AJ. She is super over and they do not even need to book her in matches. I assume once they get merc rolling for her it will be a huge seller.

Only thing about AJ is that the WWE's inability to create a great Women's division really hurts AJ's lasting appeal.

She's hot right now but seems like she's already cooling a bit to me.

And sadly I think the GM gimmick only handicaps her more than it helps her, with her screen time coming only to serve others now, in a corporate manner.

A month ago I would have agreed that this was stupid, however it's now entirely possible that it was done on purpose (at least for the last couple of months) to set up the Punk heel turn. In which case it would have been kind of smart.

As for the question: Overall, John Cena. In 2012, CM Punk followed closely by Daniel Bryan.

If Cena's year hadn't been mostly populated by incredibly boring feuds to this point, he would still be in the running.

That would be great, but IMO there's no way the WWE was thinking that far ahead when they started putting Cena in main events over Punk this year.

And they've done this for years with Cena.

I think that was just brilliant mic work by Punk, turning all of that into great fodder for his heel turn.

I'm buying a ticket to a houseshow in a few weeks just to see him, so you're wrong.

I like this. To compare it to baseball, Cena is Pujols, Punk is McCutchen and Bryan is Trout.
