Who is the boss? Who made wrestling? Who is sports entertainment?

PT Barnum made people go ape-shit about elephants. It's not a horrible ranking there![]()

Hey that's pretty big praise for Vince, putting him second only to one of the greatest showmen in history.
Dana is jealous of vinces ppv numbers
I don't see how, since Dana is currently thrashing him. And I fucking love the Ringling Bros.
Um, good?
I would put Don King ahead of Vince too. Hell, you could argue that Heyman is better than Vince, given what he turned ECW into with how little he had to start off with.

If Dana was trying to insult Vince, he failed.

I don't even think Dana was trying to trash Vince. Dana has always seemed to have a lot of respect for Vince and his accomplishments as a businessman.

And the award for thread title misdirection goes to...
I'm launching a pre-emptive strike on the "IWC and indy marks overhyped Sami Zayn. He's not that great." sentiment that will inevitably arise.
You are mistaken.

If you can still get sell-out crowds to see poodles on tricycles after 150 years, then you deserve that number one spot.
Yeah, Dana loves Vince.
This. I love Heyman and think that he was a great creative guy but Vince is a better all around promoter. Anyway, how can anyone read White's remarks about Vince being second to Barnum as an insult? It's probably one of the greatest compliments anyone has ever given Vince. PT Barnum was an unbelievable promoter. I mean, White is stipulating here that Vince is a better promoter than White is. It was actually a pretty respectful (and accurate) comment.

Dana White is just upset that UFC isnt the flavor of the month anymore...And hes probably also upset that his company owed alot of its success to Brock Lesnar, a WWE wrestler.
Dana's probably number one right now to be honest.

Seems like Dana was complimenting Vince. To be honest, #2 right behind Barnum is a real great accomplishment.
For those that have not caught or will read this thread and not catch on.
Dana was saying Vince is the second best promoter ever to PT Barnum. It's about as high of a compliment a promoter can receive.
Dana <3 Vince.

Dana is actually being modest for once because Dana has been owning Vince for years now.
