Default Two Stars May Be Gone In A Month

Numerous TNA sources have confirmed that the contracts for TNA TV champion Devon and Bully Ray are set to expire in 4-5 weeks. The pair have been negotiating new contracts with the company but sources indicate that no real movement has been made towards signing the duo to new deals.

Bully Ray is in the midst of his career resurgence after recreating himself following the Team 3D split. He's become one of the best heels in the business as well as one of the best talkers. Ray also works backstage as an agent for the company.

Devon, as TNA TV champion, has been working regularly with younger talents on the roster on both TV and house shows, helping a number of stars along the way, including Robbie E and Garett Bischoff.

It should be interesting to see where they each end up as they obviously could fill similar roles in WWE as veterans both backstage and inside the ring. Obviously, they have been important pieces of the TNA product since coming to the company in 2005, so it stands to reason that TNA wants to keep them as well.

We'll see whether they come to terms or move on in just a few weeks.

In the past, I'd never say that TNA losing Bubba Ray would be a terrible move. Hopefully the two sides come to terms. If not, I can see Bully Ray going back to WWE in a role like he is doing now.

Hmmmm, wonder who Devon will be dropping the TV Title to now...hopefully someone new...I would love to see someone like Magnus get a run with a singles title.

I would love to see them both get resigned...Bully Ray has been one of the top heels in recent years and a bit surprising as well. Devon has been solid as well in his run as TV Champ and has, IMO, actually elevated that title a bit.

These are two veterans that I would actually like resigned because I think they both bring something and with their singles runs are actually different then if they were resigning as a tag team.

I dont know if I see them being used in WWE like they are being used in TNA were they to return.

These are two of the best of all time, TNA has got to re-sign them! They're still as good as ever, and 'Bully' Ray is definitely at the top of his career. Let's get that re-signing done, and soon!

I know Bubba and D-von want to have one more run in the WWE before calling it quits... And this would probably be the best time for them to actually make said jump since both their stocks have probably hit its high(Bubba more so)...

I don't think WWE would want either of these guys. They had a pretty good falling out with Stephanie Mcmahon. They are two of the best though. My personal favorite heels of all time in their ECW run together.

At this point, Devon has so much leverage it's hilarious.

You know if they leave, it's to go somewhere that pulls them back as a tag team. Which means that if Devon splits, Bubba is likely gone too. Devon can milk TNA for 5 times more than he should get.

The Dudley's leaving WWE wasn't about Steph,it's one of the Billion Johnny Ace fuck ups as VP of talent relation.

They have said on shoots before if they could have talked to Vince personally they would still be in WWE, but ACE was a fucking stooge and pretty much forced them out

WWE does seem way more focus on tag teams then TNA is now. But hopefully TNA doesn't lose someone from being to cheap again. Losing Bully Ray would be a critical lose.

Wouldn't be surprised if they both find a way to resign, but if not, no big loss...especially if it means getting Daniels closer to a main-event heel role. It's long overdue.

Dudley's basically had nothing more to accomplish in WWE. I know they've had some success as singles guys in TNA lately, but that type of success would have been unlikely in WWE. Hell even in TNA it took years. Now that WWE are putting some thought into the tag team division again (hopefully), I wouldn't mind them coming in for one last run, similar to how the Legion of Doom returned in 1998 for one last run.

Yeah Ray is the best he's been in years, I think TNA would lose a very important part of the show if they dropped this. He's one of the top dependable heels that always get a reaction and can have decent matches with most. Unafraid to look like a right moron as well, which to me is such a valuable trait for a big tough heel sometimes. Just all around great performer.

Devon is just a suck up face at the moment and not very interesting. He's a less over Matt Hardy from 2007 essentially.

Devon gets a decent reaction but his loss would hardly be felt on the other hand Bully Ray's would seeing he is the best heel in TNA you can't just simply replace the kind of heat he gets from the fans.

I've never been a fan of Bully Ray so I don't really care if goes to the E or stays with TNA. But I don't want the dudleys to reunite as a tag team for either company. I just got really sick of them at one point and I still haven't gotten passed it. They are both having success in their singles runs. I want it to stay that way.

WOW, I did not see this coming, Bully ray is awesome in tna, He is one of my favourites. And tna would be a fool not too resign him. As for devon, i am always intrested in his matches. And his run as tv champ is awesome, He defends it all the time, And he is helping the young guys. Now if they left and went to the indys i will be pissed. I hate it when veterans with potential do that.
But if they went back too wwe i would love it. They could rebuild the tag division, Then they could split up, and rebuild the midcard.

    Update!

The contracts for Bully Ray and TNA TV champion Devon are set to expire in about three weeks. There have been negotiations between the two sides, but the word making the rounds at house shows over the weekend was that the former tag tea, especially Bully Ray, is upset over how things have been handled.

It was mentioned that some of the anger comes from the last minute nature of their re-negotiations.

We reported several weeks ago that Bruce Prichard, who serves as Talent Relations for the organization, has reportedly asked numerous wrestlers to restructure their contracts. A company source says some talent who have time remaining on their deals are among those being asked to restructure, even if they're due for raises. Many of those individuals believe they are being presented with "take it or leave it" type offers.
Maybe all those big money contracts are finally coming back to bite TNA in the ass...

You're asking them to rebuild a tag division that obviously Vinnie Mac doesnt care about (since they have plenty of teams to actually rebuild it but several either got destroyed by Big Show recently or jobbed to Ryback this week as teams) AND then help rebuild the midcard, dude you are asking too much from two guys especially in a short time period.

The feeling is that Bully Ray and Devon are going to leave TNA soon, so don't be surprised to see Devon drop the TNA Television Title in the next few weeks. Ray has been doing most of the negotiations for their new contracts but he feels that TNA has not treated them with respect during those contract talks. The feeling is that losing Ray and Devon would be a major loss, especially Ray as he's been used as a top heel on TV and has been working backstage as an agent. No word yet if WWE is interested in picking them up.

I don't think WWE would pick these guys up. They left on bad terms, and they are old.

There was a report earlier this that WWE wanted Bully Ray, but said nothing about Devon. It's possible, but I hope the two sides come to terms. Bubba has been great since losing weight.

I think both could easily return to WWE. Their main beef was with John Laurinaitis, who is no longer in the talent relations position. And they are both still at the top of their game, despite the age, and could pass on alot of knowledge, while receiving (presumably) higher salaries.

The main stumbling block might be how long they've been away from the WWE style of traveling, and how much it may wear them down.

I was under the impression that their main beef was with Stephanie. Supposedly one of them said that she didn't know what she was doing, and both of them were let go for it(or their contracts weren't renewed). Two weeks later WWE sent them a notice that they couldn't use the Dudley Boyz name because it belonged to them. That's what it said in the Hardcore History book in the "Where are they now" section anyways. I love the guys, but I don't see them going back to WWE. Neither one of them really fit in with that roster at all.

I remember Devon publicly insulting John, because the Dudleys believed their contracts weren't renewed because John had convinced Vince they weren't worth it, calling the Dudleys "fat, out of shape has beens"(something like that). Which is why shortly after debuting in TNA, Devon got so jacked physically, as a way of saying "fuck you" to Johnny Ace.

The Stephanie part could easily be true as well.
