Question tna going 3 hours next week

    according to wrestinginc.com

TNA will have three hours of programming next Thursday night as a one-hour show called Impact Rewind will air at 7pm EST leading into Impact Wrestling at 8pm EST.
No word yet if this will be a permanent thing but Spike TV's schedule returns to normal the following week.

If this is going to happen, I certainly hope its a one time thing. Two hours the best they can do and by going three on a weekly basis, I dont see how this will benefit them.

They are NOT going to a three hour show. It sounds like they are doing a one hour special of top past moment of impact...maybe to give new viewers a little catch up or something.

Would have been awesome if they did this on the last episode before Impact with some of the best X-Division matches to hype up Destination X.

If this had been a 3 hour Impact I would have laughed, but a 1 hour catch up/rewind show beforehand is really neither here or there. Will probably draw around the 0.3 - 0.5 mark, which I'm guessing is good enough for Spike in that time slot.

they tried the 3 hour idea before didnt they? with that show that they aired nothing but interviews? honestly i rather liked that show because some of the interviews there were way better than the promos you actually get on Impact.

but as Kara said, they should get it out of their heads about being WWE's competition and just focus on being TNA....being an alternative. Stop worrying about topping WWE and just be something different. That is what drew me into TNA...just the fact they were so different than WWE. that's their selling point..being a total oposite of WWE...that and having a women's division that actually is allowed to wrestle and take risks.....before TNA i only got that with SHIMMER.

What in the bluest of fucks are you talking about? In what way does this have anything to do with the WWE? I'm sorry, is a three hour time slot the intellectual property of Vince McMahon, never to be used by another wrestling company? What exactly is this happy crappy?

Three hour Impacts or a second weekly program would be a great idea and has been a great idea for a while now. TNA's got a huge roster that's difficult to use properly with two hours a week. If there's a wrestling company that's gotten to the point where more weekly programming is a creative necessity, it's TNA.

TNA previously did ReAction, a one hour, behind the scenes look at the roster who carried the story lines on from the iMPACT show. I thought this was great television and complimented the show very well and was disappointed to see it stop.

Currently (on Challenge TV) I'm watching TNA Unfinished Business which is detailing the feud between Roode & Sting. It's excellent.

The more TNA programming, the better.
