Default who needs a new theme song?

I know this type of thread has been done to death but we all grow tired of the same theme music after awhile and while some may never change again others could benefit from a different beat bringing them to the ring cm punk for example has never been better since becoming the cult of personality. I think Orton could use new music, spare us the drunk songs jokes. But what I think would be good is Ryback or another former Nexus coming out to this 12 stones song same band that did the Nexus we are one tune that I wish was still being used by someone.

Cena - It's been his time for some time now, get a new tune.
Big Show - Had his long enough too.
Ryder - Never thought it matched up with him, what is it about...a radio? Dumb!

Music and wrestling have never really meshed well to begin with. Actually, I take that back - wrestling and music made for a commercial audience first and to suit the character using the music second is not a compatible relationship in my eyes.

The problem here, (and with all due respect to you HD) is that you've made a thread based around the argument that the company needs newer music for it's employees, yet, you offer us a 12 Stones song as an example. Correct me if my definition of new is out of line, but haven't we been down that road before? I think this is exactly the problem. There's no archetype for a good wrestling theme song other than one that's solely meant to highlight the persona of the person using that song, which is the way it should be. A subtle reason why I think some have grown disenfranchised with a partial amount of the newer wrestlers today is that the company believes slapping on a mainstream savvy theme song will cover up that competitor's lack of character.

I'm not saying this is always the case. There's certainly people whom, in the ring, I enjoy, but there music continues to make me absolutely nauseous such as The Miz, Ryder, Ziggler, etc. etc. Then again, maybe I'm just an embittered music fan who thinks most wrestling songs are utter crap?

wwe uses a lot of the same artists for new songs that why I suggested 12 Stones for former Nexus members to keep the working relationship. I agree some of the stars hide behind their music and pyro to make up for their lack of a true push/build. Kofi has been answering the SOS since he got here and yet has never peaked as a top quality contender for a major title.

Wade Barrett. End of Days wasn't good, but Don't Care What You Think Of Me is even worse and doesn't have anywhere near the pop that a main eventer needs.

Cody's current theme isn't good either, his dashing and undashing themes were some of the absolute best, but his new one is very generic.

I love Cody's new one. It's not as good as the deranged Cody version, but that wouldn't fit him at all now anyway.

Personally, it has to be a perfect mix for a commercial song to work as an entrance theme. Cult of Personality is perfect for Punk. Final Countdown was great for Danielson. It just doesn't work often at all though.

I think the undashing beat with the lyrics mixed back in would have been perfect.

Changing themes that have been around for as many years as Cena's and Big Show's have isn't worth it. Those themes have become synonymous with them and it would be weird for them to suddenly start coming out to something else.

I would not mind seeing Ryder get a new theme, though. Barrett is a good shout as well.

I like Dashing better than the new theme. Wade Barrett needs a new one when he gets back.

Wade Barrett's new theme sounds like music used at the opening of a really bad teen flick.

Wade Barrett for sure. His new theme is a disaster compared to End of Days. Cena's needed a new theme for years. But it probably won't change.

I like Daniel Bryan's theme for sure, but I wouldn't mind him coming out to something heavier.

Barrett isn't losing I Don't Care What You Think of Me. He said himself, he freaking hated 'End of Days' and chose a song he liked.

So, appropriately, He Doesn't Care What You Think of It.

I personally cannot stand the majority of the entrance music the guys have today. A lot of it just all sounds the same. Ziggler, Ryder, Sheamus, Christian, Cody, Barret it's all shitty, generic, sounds the same music. I think WWE did a much better job when they made their music in house. It was more tailored to the wrestler and no 2 entrance themes sounded like it came from the same band. They are more concerned with selling music on itunes though because I am sure they get some type of cut for each download. More people will download an actual song as opposed to say Angle's old music which was awesome for a wrestler's entrance even when it was The Patriot's

Here's one music gripe I have. Damien Sandow being downgraded to 'Hallelujah'. The fuck is that? It can't be a money issue, because 'New World Symphony', his FCW theme, was public domain. And it fit him so much better.

Daniel Bryan is probably the highest profile guy with the shittiest music. He's a main eventer that comes out to jobber music.

Why is it jobber music? Because it doesn't have lyrics?

I think Barrett and Rhodes were better off with their previous themes. I know this will not be a popular opinion but I think the same wat about Punk. I've never liked Cult of Personality. Sure, I agree that it fits his character but I thought his old music suited him as well and that it was just a better song.

Cena's music probably won't change unless he has that elusive heel turn that people have been predicting for about 9.5 years. Changing entrance music when the character changes makes sense.

Cult of personality has the same problem as Rollin did with undertaker, sure they fit the personalities/gimmicks but they're too mainstream. If you can turn on your radio and hear a wwe song it makes it feel less special.

I don't think Cena will ever get an entirely new theme song, it's become synonomous with his career (ala HBK's "Sexy Boy", HHH's "The Game", Stone Cold's "Glass Break"). At the very least he should get a remix done of it.

Am I the only one who would crack up if Daniel Bryan won a match and CM Punk had the sound crew change his music to the Bugs Bunny version?
