Default The Not-So-Official Slammiversary Discussion Thread

I know it's a bit early... But I just realized that we rarely talk about what we hope or think might happen at TNA's PPV's... So, let's try doing that for a change... or not...

    Here's the card:

TNA's 10-year anniversary will be celebrated on Sunday's Slammiversary Pay-Per-View in Arlington, Texas. The following matches are booked for the event:

TNA champion Bobby Roode vs. Sting
TNA Tag Team champions Christopher Daniels & Kazarian vs. AJ Styles & Kurt Angle.
    Bully Ray vs. Joseph Park
TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe
TNA TV Champion Devon & Garett Bischoff vs. Robbie E & Robbie T
TNA Knockouts champion Gail Kim vs. Brooke Tessmacher
Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson for a TNA title shot on next week's Thursday
    Kid Kash vs. Hernandez
Crimson has issued an open challenge

The first member of the TNA Hall of Fame will be announced.
    My thoughts:

-If we go by traditional wrestling booking... then Sting has absolutely no chance of winning the Title... I know I'll be rooting for tradition... Horray tradition!

-I predict shenanigans will take place during the AJ & Kurt/Daniels & Kaz match. Which will lead to Danzarian picking up the victory via a errant Surge Paunch to Dixie's face...

-I'm thinking Joseph Parks will somehow end up crawling under the ring... and then Abyss will then magically appear and destroy Bully. Afterwards, the lights go off... Joseph mysteriously reappears... Ace Attorney for the win! Any objections?

-I think we all know Joe is gonna lose. The only question is whether or not he'll throw a hissy fit afterwards... and if anyone will care...

-Rayne is so gonna have some kind of impact on the outcome of Garrett & D-von/The Robbie's. My guess is she tries to help Garrett win... but inadvertently causes D-von & Garrett to eat the loss. D-von gets pissed... Garrett is forgiving... Drama!

-Gail Kim wins... She cuts a promo... Brooke Hogan comes out... We all die on the inside...

-There is no way Jeff Hardy doesn't pick up the win. It's his turn... sadly. Aside from that, I see nothing else worthwhile happening in that one... Unless Kenny accidentally kills himself... That might be something interesting...

-If TNA had recently signed some big name talent... Kid Kash vs Hernandez would seem like the perfect time for him to come out and destroy some bitches. But nobody has... So that probably won't be happening... Might be an ok match though... might...

-Somebody with a little captain in them will come out and finally beat Crimson... Then he'll sadly announce that he isn't going anywhere... Meh.

-Dixie will announce Surge will be the first inductee into TNA's HoF... thus all the secrecy... Oops! How stupid would that be? Nah, my money is on Sting. With Christian making the announcement... Afterwards, we get man-hugs! Woo!

They say this close to being their biggest attendance in USA history.

    So, what is that 1500?

Overall, it should be a good PPV. Roode better retain or the company is backed to its fucked up ways. Roode is the most entertaining champion out there right now. A year of Roode ending in defeat to James Storm is the way to go. Samoa Joe and Austin Aries are going to steal the show IMO. If given a good amount of time, this match will be a good one. Can't see Joe winning at all, especially with it being a PPV.

TNA had a house show in 2010 that had 5,550 people. Pretty sure it's the largest house show, but not sure on PPV attendance.

All I really want to happen is Roode to keep his title .

Oh, and as far as Joe/Aries goes, I think Joe will win to continue fued .

I think somehow Aries will get the rules changed and at a future PPV, he will face Joe again with the X-Division Title on the line where he will beaet Joe ending their feud .

    Pictures of the arena.

Great picture of Roode and Christian. I wish that Christian never left TNA or was allowed to do one feud here. Christian would be the perfect face to take on Robert Roode.

Also, what time does the show start? I made an awesome party thread. I'm just waiting to post it.

Awesome picture of Roode and Christian...i'm sad he didnt stay, he has NEVER gotten his due in WWE...his only real world title run was ONLY because of Edge retiring and it was short lived.

So cool seeing Christian in TNA again.

This will probably be the first TNA pay-per-view I watch in full in a long time. The card looks good and I'm invested in the stories. I also think there's a lot of even better stuff to come from tonight, so I'm excited to see what happens. Will Joe/Aries eventually get to feud over the title? Will Parks end up being even more awesome? Will Storm return following the World Title Match and begin his road to BFG? Lots to look forward to.

New arena looks great, much better than the old POS I would go to watch basketball games at with my friends that went to that campus.

Set looks great as well. Job well done.

Still wanna know...which of the big 3 is their Wrestlemania?

    -Slammiversary
    -Bound For Glory
    -Lockdown

They hype all of them up like it's the big show.

I would say Bound for Glory is THEIR Wrestlemania.

I have also decided that I am ordering Slammiversary this year...first ordered wrestling PPV in probably 2 years +...which is about right one every 2-4 years...although if they build up Bound for Glory might get 2 this year alone.

Bound for Glory is definitely the biggest, but I think it's good to make all three seem so important.

The only reason I don't want Sting to win is because I want Roode to lose to Storm. Otherwise I have no issue with Sting winning. He can still go in my book.
