Championship Scramble

The Championship Scramble matches were unique and fun to watch for me and are some of the most entertaining in the video games. That's when CM Punk first won a title, and the concept I thought would stick around and become its own ppv like Rumble, Hell in a Cell, MITB, etc. The matches were less predictable than money in the banks, four ways, and triple threats. It reminded me of the hardcore title twenty minute matches where anyone and everyone it seemed won a fall but the guy at the end who had it was champ. Would anyone else be up for it if they brought this back for another ppv even for just one match?

Punk lost a title in a Championship Scramble (which he didn't compete in), his first win was as a result of cashing in his MITB briefcase.

As for the thread, I'd be interested in seeing a return of the match. It was fun, and even gave Brian Kendrick a five minute spell as interim WWE Champ, which rocked for me as a fan of his.

Yea I liked that match & I was hoping "The" Brian Kendrick was leaving with the belt that night...

I enjoyed the matches but any excitement didn't kick in until the final minute or so and you never thought once someone got the pinfall that they'd last all the way to the end. Definitely a good match to use again though.

Also, Championship Scramble must return. I bet Johnny Ace says it is his idea, when it was actually a Adamle Original.

I only liked the scramble match because it got Brian Kendrick and Shelton Benjamin in a WWE Title Match on PPV .

I loved when Kendrick scored a pinfall in the match, even though I knew he had no shot at winning .

Wait.... Oh, I get it. Seriously, I really liked those matches. I'd be cool with seeing the E do them again. But they really shouldn't put guys like Kendrick in them. It needs to be comprised of guys who we could actually believe could win the thing.

Love the scramble concept. It was new and refreshing, also very marketable and easy to use to build rivalries, i.e. someone becomes interim champion for most of the match but in the end doesn't become champion because they're pinned at the last second.

The Scramble matches were awesome, apart from the aforementioned incident.

Going off topic for a moment, but someone did bring it up, I did see Kendrick as an upper-midcard guy when he was getting that push with Zeke as his muscle. He got a good win over Hardy, and got a good rub from the scramble match. His character and promos were interesting, it was just a shame it all went to waste.

Hated seeing Punk lose it like that, but Jericho won it at least, which is kinda ironic given their feud this year. Anyways, I think the match is pretty good but not one of my faves. Once a year or so wouldn't be bad.

they could have such a great scramble for either title or how about for the midcard titles letting more people get seen on tv rathar than just the same old guys

Since it was originally announced I've liked the concept the championship scramble match but the main problem of them has been that the audience are anticipating the last 2 minutes because everyone knows the last pinfall is really the only one that counts and that kinda leads to a very dry 18 + 1/2 mins.
With that being said I did enjoy the matches quite alot and I especially loved Dreamers struggle to prevent one more fall as the time limit ran out in the last scramble match, it seemed to embody the spirit of the match more than the last second pinfalls of the previous ones. If they bring it back i'd like it to be for the us or ic titles as opposed to the main ones, seems like the perfect type of match to showcase some midcard talent
