Default The Rock Tied Up Before WrestleMania 29

[B][-- With The Rock's movie G.I. Joe: Retaliation now being released in March 2013 just 9 days before WrestleMania 29, it's going to be extremely difficult for him to appear episodes of RAW leading up to the big show. The Rock is known for going all out promoting his movies, something that means a lot to Hollywood executives and the success of a movie's opening box office numbers. Especially if the movie opens internationally around the same time, he's going to be flying all over the world doing premiere events and media appearances.

Oh, don't you worry. Rocky could go to RAW on Monday, Today, The View, and Letterman on Tuesday, and Fallon on Wednesday.

He would also have to do overseas promotion too, though .

He could do something similiar to Undertaker's return for WM20 (Not supernatural though), or in the off chance he is the heel in the fued..he could use that to his advantage in taped segments to get heat.

The Rock (I imagine) has a contract with the WWE which will require him to attend a certain number of Raws prior to next years 'Mania. This is afterall happening because the Movie is being moved, Rock's involvement with the WWE has long been agreed.

Best case scenario is Rock does the GI Joe promotional work whilst also mentioning the WWE. Everyone wins.

As I said in the GD.

Not his fault, and I feel bad for him because he's now stuck in a bad situation where he agreed to two things without knowing they would conflict.

But if they were actually planning on having him win the belt, that idea better be dead now. Especially if we only get three or less Rock appearances during the Mania 29 season.

Unless his taking the belt to his promotions for the movie which would be huge publicity for WWE.

    Rocky will wrestle at 29.

    Thanks to Fresh Prince

No, the promotion for the movie is DURING the Mania buildup, not after.

Rock will be involved, via satelitte. Then, appear for the go home show. Not that hard.

Yea thats what I mean, he will be holding the belt going into WM then dropping it to Cena, either way The Rock can promote WWE & WM.

    Thanks to Fresh Prince

He said on Twitter that he's not even coming back until 2013. When does he win it?

He's not coming back for Mania next year. It's simple, yes?

He could be a surprise entrant in the Elimanation chamber.

    Royal Rumble?
    Elimination Chamber?
    There ARE options.....

I'd be okay with him winning the belt in the Chamber and then dropping it to Cena at Mania.

My main point was that I don't want to see the guy get another big WrestleMania win as a reward for showing up for a third of the buildup. Whether it's his fault or not.

Does anyone actually know if he's signed any type of contract at all?

Right now, there's only speculation on what type of role Rock will have next year. For all we know, he might have to hot potato across cities, or G.I. Joe gets delayed again, or if they postpone Rock until after Wrestlemania, and convince Stone Cold to wrestle instead.

    Too early to tell.

Ah, yes, let's keep the Rock away. Let's keep away the man who gave the WWE it's biggest WrestleMania ever. And if you're fool enough to think it was Cena, Punk, Taker, or Triple H who brought in those Mania ratings, then you are just that: A fool.

The current WWE product is nothing more than a tepid pool of failure and its lead star is a corny, swollen dope who does does dated Ace Ventura impressions in his promos. The wrestling for the most part is mediocre and the performers have no true voice. It's a castrated product, de-balled to serve as a backdrop for Linda McMahon's political aspirations. No one outside of the devoted fanboy cares about the WWE product anymore. Why do you think the WWE is so pathetically desperate to link itself to celebrities and social media such as Twitter? The WWE is desperate to appear relevant. Why do you think the WWE bent over backward to get Lesnar on board? Because its desperate to appear legitimate.

Sorry, kiddo, but without The Rock, who has transcended the WWE and thus become bigger than the WWE, showing up, the WWE would continue its slow descent into irrelevancy.

Yay we have a new troll to play with with the same old tired argument.

Many thanks to the one and only Fresh Prince of PW.

I agree the only reason the last two WM's were as successful as they were was because of The Rock.

Yea I would rather the movie had just come out like it was supposed to in June. I'd hate for The Rock to not make many appearances next year to promote this crappy sequel to a crappy movie.

People are never happy. Y'all had Rock/Cena isn't that enough? if he feels like he can't commit his best to WWE then he shouldn't camw back just to rush a feud.
