    As for RT's spoiler:

    Spoiler
Exactly what I've been leaning towards. I'm very psyched at the prospect of actually seeing Robb's battles. From the multiple trailers, it looks like we're getting much more action this season.

I think Rogue is right. I also think I might actually like the show better than the books as it fleshes things out better than the books do. JMO of course.

My friend let me borrow the season one set and I'm blazing through the season as we speak. The stories and characters just keep getting better and better as the season advances. Holy shit, does this show get chaotic in no time.

My favorites are Tyrion, Jon Snow, Arya, Daenerys(mainly for her good looks, but her character is starting to evolve), Drogo(finally developed some sort of character midway through season 1), Ned, among others. Cersei's character is also fantastic and so easy to hate as are most of the Lannister's clan. Brilliant characters all around.

It's safe to say that I'll be watching season 2.

    All credit goes to surrender!

As far as I'm concerned, she is by far the the most hatable character.

    I love her.

Keep in mind I haven't read the books but as far as most hatable character goes I'd have to give it to Joffrey myself.

Oh yeah, Joffrey is such a prick. The actor plays him brilliantly. The same can be said for most of the cast to be honest. Littlefinger and Tyrion are my two favourite characters. Jon Snow is up there too.

I have heard so many good things about this show. So I picked up the first book the series yesterday. I'm not very far, but I'm loving it. Hoping to finish this book soon so that I can buy the others and watch the first season.

Eddard Stark is awesome so far.

Watching the first season again. Great stuff. The first time I watched Game of Thrones I hadn't read the books so I had a hard time following the first few episodes. Now I can pick up on all the subtleties and I know who everyone is. It's like a whole new experience.

I'm almost through the 3rd book, so I have a general idea of what is going to be covered in season 2 and what will be foreshadowed/built-up/etc. leading into season 3.

    Two words: "holy fuck."

    That is all.

    5 days to go!

HBO released an awesome 22+ minute special that includes interviews with the creators, actors, and a recap of all the major plot points from season one. It's a great recap for anyone that needs a refresher or isn't watching season one before the premiere like I am.

    WARNING: SEASON ONE SPOILERS

I realized this a couple weeks ago, then realized I wouldn't be watching either because I A) don't get HBO and B) can't afford WrestleMania.

But, living on the west coast + torrenting = GoT late Sunday. I'll just have to avoid this place for a couple hours until I can watch it.

Here are six clips from Sunday's premiere, episode 11, "The North Remembers":

    http://winteriscoming.net/2012/03/si...rth-remembers/

Basically just clips from the trailers extended into 30-60 second scenes, except for the last two which are 1-2 minutes (Robb's terms and Cersei/Tyrion at the small council). Don't feel like you're going to ruin Sunday's episode by watching any of these. If anything, it just makes you anticipate it even more.

Having read the books (probably my favourite book series EVER), the second book is better than the first so this should be really, really good. I was really impressed by how faithful the series was for the most part, although Robb and Jon did not look 15 and Bran and Rickon were made older too for reasons I cannot fathom.

Also one bit that really peeved me was when Tyrion knocked himself out going into battle and missed the whole thing. He is my joint favorite character and he actually fought his ass off and was lucky to get out of that battle alive in the book. I remember at one point a Knight is doing his very damnest to kill him and its tense as hell. I understand why they skipped it (Didn't have the budget for a battle, its why they also skipped The Whispering Wood and instead just showed Jaime already caught) but it still sucked.

( ?_?) - 97% of PW suddenly think Michael Cole is awesome. If you're part of the 3% that still thinks he is an annoying tool, copy & paste this into your sig.

    Excellent post.

The two scenes you mentioned (Tyrion getting knocked out and Jaime's capture) stuck out as the two biggest disappointments for me. However, it does appear that they'll be making up for that in this upcoming season and, provided we get a good portion of the battles that took place in ACoK, I'm willing to forgive HBO.

HBO's budget for the show has grown, and we're likely going to get lots of battles, including..

    Spoiler

A Clash of Kings was way better than A Game of Thrones, and A Storm of Swords (3rd book) was, well, it's probably the best book in the series thus far. If Season 2 is going to be epic, they'll have to invent a new word to describe Season 3, especially if they keep in all the major points of the story.

Oh yes, I think its unanimous that the third book was the highpoint of the series and just a highpoint in literature in general. Never been so enthralled in a book as I was for that. Its a shame the series never really reached that peak again as of yet. I am currently about 3/4 through Feast for Crows and while its been really good its certainly been a step down, and the general consensus on the net is that Dance with Dragons was sort of similar. The best parts have been the Iron Islands sections imo.

According to what I've read, the series was meant to be a trilogy, then GRRM decided to make it two trilogies/six books, with the 3rd and 6th being the 'climaxes'. So his next book, The Winds of Winter, should be more exciting.

Then for some reason he decided he's going to write a 7th and final book. I just hope he lives long enough to complete it.
