FEAR 2 demo is up

Intense firefights, great AI, create your own goddamn cover, great graphics, destructible cover, great weapons, mech battles, horror, controls are top fucking notch.

Just go and download it. If you are a fan of FPS you'll love it.

Hallway scene was FUCKING FREAKY!

Also there was one scene where I was looking into a corner for items and I see a shadow on the wall of something bobbing up and down and I turn around it's Alma like 3 fucking feet away from me scared the shit out of me.

Feb 10th first day purchased.

Any notice how February seems to have a shitload of great games?

I'm with ya buddy. I'm not sure if I'm gonna want Killzone and I suck at fighting games so unless I wanna play the CPU all the time, which I probably wont, I may leave SF4 alone.

And yea multiplayer is confirmed. I absolutely loved the MP of the first game and am one of the few managed to get all the achievements for it on the 360 version. Sadly, with so many FPS out there like CoD4 and Halo 3 FEAR was never the same and the online community died.

I miss the great weapons and the non camp gameplay. Hopefully FEAR 2 will have a live community.

Indeed it will. Sadly they left out achievements for the best games in the package. Sega is so fucking dumb.


Which of the FEAR XP's are worth getting? Next month I want to get the original FEAR stuff but not sure what is and is not worth it.

Not sure about the PC crap as I played it all on my 360 but on the 360 you have FEAR Files which has the two expansions in one game. The expansions don't do anything new or even offer better graphics but if your a fan of gameplay and the creepy shit going on then pick up Files. Both expansions in FEAR Files take around 12 hours to complete (combined).

I purchased FEAR Files when it was released day one and was not able to find one MP match all day. They did however offer a whole shitload of new Instant Action Maps to play through from the expansions. Great fun.

But if you do not like FEAR and it's repetitive enviroments then just avoid FEAR Files altogether. Think of it like the new GTA4 expansion exact same game but new storyline.

K2 is second on the Amazon preorder list. That's a big deal because the last PS3 game to get that high on the list was MGS4, and that game has sold almost 5 million copies so far. I think this is a good indication of how well Killzone 2 will sell.

Last I checked Resistance 2 has sold 1.4 million copies, LBP has a sold a little less.

Just played the demo of this on the computer just then, very atmospheric. I would have liked a little bit more time on the demo but it was good none-the-less.

Any tips in the first one on clearing a room of a squad. Been using semi automatics but out of ammo so guess that was not the best idea. How effective is the shotgun too, as I skipped it cause most gun rights I been doing were ranged duck and cover ones.

Loving the first game though. Good solid FPS. First one I liked since Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

If this game was all like the horror levels (the corridor with the lockers etc) it would be effing sweet.

Its the levels fighting the soldiers, they completely take you out of the atmosphere, bad decision imo.
