Have any of you guys played Total Extreme Wrestling 2008? It's been around for a few years now, but this is my first one. If you want to play booker, this game is amazing!

never played it. I generally stick with EWR though.

I have to ask...What exactly is the appeal of these types of games anyways? I mean, I tried out the booking mode in SvR(Is that a good representation of how these games are?) and I found it to be completely unappealing and boring.

I hate the booking mode in SvR. TEW is much more fun because you're actually booking winners and losers. I personally play it multiplayer with my brother to see if we can outdo the other, and try and one-up each other, and generally have a lot of fun with it.

I guess you need the intial interest in booking things how you want to. I mean you can create feuds that would never normally happen. Also if there was one you really hated you could have them lose every match, to the shittiest of people.

The GM mode is shit. You should try EWR. EWR is way way better.

I downloaded the demo of TEW last year but I didn't really like it mostly due to the fact that it has no real names in it and I found it quite complicated.

I prefer EWR.

That's true, the TEW universe has fake wrestlers, but you can download free mods with real starts. There's mods for today, 1989, etc.

Where can I find EWR?

4.2 is the latest one. But you can find downloads for recent stats: here's the most recent stats update: http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=69145

I played with a mod and used WWE and after about six months on top it started to plunder and I lost a few tv deals but not before having Matt Hardy and Jeff split and feud Had The Undertaker and HHH Feud and have a few A matches, and anyway after I resigned from WWE and just watched for a few months what happened and saw HHH and Jeff Hardy win the tag titles and not ose them for almost an entire year.

TEW is pretty fun. Takes some time getting into and it can get a little bit boring after a while though.
