In all seriousness, what is your 'Dream' Crossover game?

I'd like to see a Super Smash Bros game on Multi Formats, a one time only videogaming beat Em up Event. PS3, Wii and 360, all represented by their own characters.

Team 360: Master Chief, Banjo, Conker, Commander Shephard, Reaver (Fable II), Faith (Mirrors Edge), and others.

Team Nintendo: mario, Luigi, fox, caption falcon, Pikachu, Wario, Ness and all your favourites.

Team Playstation: Solid Snake, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Jak, Daxter, Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank), Sion (The Bouncer) Sora (Kingdom Hearts) and others.

But I would like to see a crossover between Zelda and Final Fantasy. Like maybe have it the battle style that FF12 had. Have it mainly be a Final Fantasy game, but you have Link in your party and Ganondorf could be the main villain of the game.

There are a lot of fighting games that can be crossed over in some way or another. I would like to the the best 20 characters from Kilelr Instinct battle with the best 20 fighters from Bloody war and the best 20 fighters from Mortal Kombat.

I can say the same thing about Tekken, Virtua Fighter and DOA.

I would also enjoy a game using the SVR modes of gameplay involving NJPW and the WWE.

Hmmm...Crossovers:

1. Smash Bros. vs Jump Superstars: For those of you who may not know what Jump Superstars is...Its a fighting game similar to Smash but with characters from mangas published by Shonen Jump. The series represented in the game include: Naruto, Dragonball Z, Bleach, One Piece, Yuyu Hakusho, JoJos Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, D Gray Man, Space Adventure Cobra, Kinnikuman, and alot of other notable series. Coincidentally, Nintendo actually owns the developments rights to Jump...so this game is a realistic possibility...in Japan at least. The publishing rights for those mangas here in the states would make it a headache for Nintendo to release the game in the US.

2. Mortal Kombat vs Killer Instincts: Why hasn't this one happened yet? Not only are both games very similar...Midway also partnered up with Rare to make the first KI game.

3. Tekken vs Virtua Fighter: Would peoples heads explode if both these games complex fighting engines were meshed together?

4. Tekken vs Dead or Alive: Would the obsurdly huge boobs of DoA look out of place in this crossover? Hmmm...Well, Tekken does have fighting animals, fighting trees, and fighting robots...That should level the playing field...

5. Dead or Alive vs Virtua Fighter: This one is probably a better fit. I mean, both have a simplistic button layout that hides a very complex fighting mechanics. Not only that, we'd also get to see ripoff Hogan vs ripoff Rey Mysterio...the dream match.

6. Street Fighter vs Guilty Gear: This one was supposed to happen...but it didn't. Its a shame...High res Street Fighter characters with awesome animation would have kicked ass. Instead we have to settle for Street Fighter HD...with its meh art style and its way too faithful lack of animation.

7. Bloody Roar vs Darkstalkers: One is about people that transform into monsters...and the other is about people that are monsters. Its a perfect match.

8. DC vs Marvel: Who should make it you ask? My money would be on Capcom...if not them, maybe EA.

9. TNA vs WWE: Maybe theres a better chance of a game happening rather than a ppv...

10. The King of Fighters vs Guilty Gear: Hmmm...I just felt wrong leaving out KoF.

11. Soul Calibur vs Fire Emblem: Fire Emblem does have a shit load of characters...I don't know why Nintendo doesn't make a fighting game spinoff based off the franchise.

12. Primal Rage vs The King of the Monsters: How many people even remember those two games?

13. Transformers vs Gundam: I should note that I mean the original Transformers...not the newer abominations.

The two biggest fighting franchises out there(ok... Tekken has overtaken MK but you get the point) and it might actually ignite interest in the fucking genre again. At least give it a go. And given how far gaming has come over the last 20 years. Surely you could retain the gameplay characteristics associated with each game's characters.

I have never gotten the criticism of the sub-bosses/bosses always being to powerful. Their meant to be a challenge and i have found them to be easy once i've gotten use to their attack pattern. Kintaro is another story though :@.

In my opinion, when it comes to Midways bosses, they just plain suck because they are so god awfully balanced...and by "god awfully balanced", I mean not balanced at all.

Is it really a fair challange when certain moves don't work at all on a boss? Is it a fair challange when you can't even fuckin throw a boss? Is it a fair challange when your hits take away almost nothing while the bosses hits take away a huge chunk of your life bar? Is it a fair challange when an oversized boss can move faster than a smaller speedier character? Why can't bosses be hard because they are just skilled and have a very high AI? Why do developers think people will have fun fighting a broken character?

Back in the old days, things weren't this bad. M. Bison was a hard boss character and he didn't rely on cheesy moves; Goro and Shang Tsung weren't impossibly difficult; Inferno wasn't terribly unbalanced; Kazuya wasn't insanely hard. What went wrong? Now you got shit like Gill with his Reviving crap and his overpowered normal attacks; The Dragon King and his bullshit break all the things near the edge of the arena with MKs broken 3D movement; Nightmare with his absurd quickness and super cheap telekinesis attacks; And Jinpachi with his absurdly powerful projectile attack that could almost kill you with one hit.

Bottom line: These stupid bosses that devs come up with are jokes. Beating them is nothing more than a pain in the ass and when you beat them you only get a sense of relief as opposed to a sense of accomplishment. Last bosses shouldn't require you to be some sort of gaming god to defeat them. They should at the very least simply be a fair test of your skills with no strings attached.
