Like the title says, what video games or video game series could produce a decent cartoon, in your opinion?

Mega Man X circa 1-whenever the fuck Sigma was taken out of the picture* :suspic: (Series): Watching X and Zero working together to take out Sigma/The Sigma Virus and his minions once and for all would be awesome.

Luigi's Mansion (Game): Obviously, he wouldn't be limited to the mansion he won in Luigi's Mansion so you'd probably not want to call the show Luigi's Mansion, as that'd be a bit misleading, but the concept of the show would be the same as in the game: Get rid of ghosts. Luigi could be portrayed as being the same coward as he was in Luigi's Mansion, but you could have Mario convince Luigi that helping the kidnapees and their families would be the right thing to do. If that doesn't push Luigi over the edge, Mario could mention that ghost busting is a potentially lucrative side business. I think this could be a good show.

LoZ (Series): Yes, I know they had an old Legend of Zelda animated series and I loved it back when I was a kid, but since that period of time, so many new enemies, weapons, locations, etc, have arisen in the series, so why not give it a go a couple decades later? I'm not holding my breath for this, but damned if it wouldn't own.

Mario Bros (Series): I loved the Super Mario Bros 3 Show and The Super Mario Bros Super Show. Would love to see another show with new enemies, new plotlines, some of Mario and Luigi's new goodies, etc, but it'd have to feel like a Mario Bros show and would have to stay loyal to the series. Bowser would need to be a huge part of the show, we'd neep warp pipes, goombas, troopas, fire flowers, etc.

*I only played Mega Man X 1-3 on the SNES, which is why I said that, BTW. I think I've heard that Sigma returns after 3, despite the virus being wiped out in X3.

Ratchet and Clank... the comedy could carry this for generations. You can even crossover the inferior, but still enjoyable, platforming rivals in Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, etc.

There isn't anything on this Earth that couldn't be made into a Saturday morning cartoon.

Killer7 would be a fantastic anime, i heard they did a few comics, but if done right i think an animated series would be cool, like the Devil May Cry one.

Are you shitting me dude??? J and D series pwns Ratchet in every concievable way! Its more fun, its funnier, it has better characters, it has a far better plot, the graphics are more suited to the genre and it doesnt look as gloomy.

As for a game series that could be a cartoon, how about turning Legacy of Kain into an Anime and actually finishing the story. I'd cream :$

They could all be made into cartoons, but they would all suck. Unless they contained amusing adult references like the episode of the Zelda cartoon I watched.

the Xenosaga series would make a wicked anime, and it wouldn't surprise me if it already is one in Japan.

Bioshock would make a great weekly tv show. The greatest story in videogame history.

Lies. Lies. Lies.

I know you love Jak as you make it known every time I pull my Jak 3 spin (LOLZ RACER~!), but I don't see how you can make such a statment. Jak II > Every Ratchet game I will say. But overall I would put Ratchet and not just because the series eventually became Rehash & Clank (for the record a new one every year will be fine with me).

I don't think Jak is more fun. Ratchet definitley had the fun factor IMO. Jak at times came off as too serious at points, whereas Ratchet was always about the Lolz. The characters I found a lot more ha ha funny as well. Captain Qwark carries that nearly on his own. Normally I'd give you plot, but how can you downplay a villain who wanted to rip apart planets to build his own super planet? Sephiroth and Kefka got nothing on that!

So all in all I think Ratchet would be much more suited to a traditional American superhero-esque Saturday morning cartoon. But the real injustice isn't that you disagree, but that you didn't defend Sly Cooper!

Sorry to tell you but i have no idea what Sly Cooper even is :$

Another way to put my argument

Daxter > Size Matters (just read every review out there)
Jak 2 pwns Ratchet 2
Jak and Daxter obliterates Ratchet 1, which i wasnt really a fan of tbh, i gave it away.

I love JandD's plot cos it had obvious huge Amy hennig trademarks, it almost seemed like a Legacy of Kain game at times, which is a good thing :)

I also liked all the different things you would do throughout, especially the ones after JandD 1.

One thing i will give you though: Jak X sucked, hopefully the heavily rumoured Jak 6 makes up for it and finishes the plot and the whole confusing Mar plot point.

If that's true, why did Size Matters get released on PS2 and Daxter didn't? Huh huh? :@

Thats mean nothing sweety, at best it means Size Matters maybe sold more. However, San Andreas sold gazillions more than any LOK game but give me a LOK game over that piece of shit.

Sorry for dragging this off topic btw, that damn Ness!! (i love you really :$ )

On topic, i would love to see Silent Hill extremely faithfully adapted into a cartoon, just for the pure hilarity of the traumatised kids and the law suits.

Mass effect would make a nice CGI mini-series, maybe with a character from the game and a side team of Marines, or an Alliance ship, etc. Of course, you would NEED to have Keith David provide a voice for the show to be halfway decent.

I've been fancying a Kane and Lynch series, possibly as a late-night cartoon on Spike.
