Now, despite this game rickrolling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhiALeK5rTk&feature=related) me half my childhood, I still found this game to be one of the Best RPG's outside the FF Franchise, and I completed so many times, and kept going back for more. This game was godly.
What did the rest of you think of this game? I pray they either re release this over X Box live or re release it on all formats or remake it, or make a sequel.
I now have an urge to buy a SNES off of Ebay and track this game down.

They did make a second one, Chrono Cross. Also it is being re-issued for the DS in a few weeks.

It's a good game, but I've always like FF6 better. Actually I'm probably one of the few who like Cross better also.

Yeah, I can't wait for the DS port. I wonder what they'll add into the game, since I love the original, and Chrono Cross, too.

The DS port is going to be awesome. I hope its a sign of renewed interest in the franchise. They could release Trigger on DS, Cross for PSP, and the new one for 360/PS3.

Absolutely loved this game when it came out. It was the second RPG I'd ever played and helped to cement my love of the genre. I remember playing this game relentlessly trying to get all of the endings, and thought it was friggin' badass that you could get one of the bad guys on your side.
Don't necessarily need an SNES by the way. If you can find it they re-released Chrono Trigger for the PS1, in an anthology set with one of the previously-unreleased Final Fantasys.

I own the original for my snes.I will never sell it. I am an old school gamer that's why.Anyway the DS verssion looks good, kind of looks like dragon warrior 8 like graphics. I hope they do the game justice, though.

I could never find it in stores. It was always sold out. I tried every game shop in the city trying to find a copy of that game.
However, I must have rented it a half dozen times--one time I even kept it for a month, just going back in and rerenting it every time it was due. I think I played through it 2 or 3 times.
That game was truly epic. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.

He isn't really a bad guy though.
I own the game on the SNES and I have the version that came with FF Chronicles (with FF4). Amazing game. Hopefully they don't ruin the DS version with fucking lame touching controls.

I’ve played Chrono Trigger over and over again since its release in the mid-nineties, and it definitely survives the test of time. Chrono Trigger was an amazing game when I was 10, and it’s an amazing game now.
In general, I’m not an RPG fan, so it’s very telling that I love Chrono Trigger as much as I do.

Chrono Trigger is one of the best games of all time. Chrono Cross held its own too. I hope this is a renewal of interest for the series so we can maybe see a third Chrono game.

I saw Chrono Trigger brand new back when it first came out and ere in Canada, Zellers was selling it for 99.00.
I will be buying the re-issue. I also always wanted to play Chrono Cross but my PS1 was modded and a few of the Japanese made games wouldn't play :@
