My warranty expires on October 16 so what should I do? Should I go ahead and get one of those new 60 gig models, with a warranty of course, then sell my still working 20 gig 360? Or should I wait until my 20 gig finally dies on me (red rings, disk read error, etc) and then by the new 60 gig model. My current 360 is working just fine after having it since last October but I wouldnt mind having a 60 gig model instead. Also does anyone know when the new xbox dashboard is gonna be released?

Yeah, I would get rid of it and buy a new 60 gig 360 just to be on the safe side. I know it's kind of shitty to do, but it's a much safer option than letting your 360 go without a warranty and having it break down the week after. That would leave you up a shit-creek without a paddle.

I'd sell it and buy a new one.

Wait, when did you buy your console?
The warranty for the RRoD lasts 3 years after purchase so you should be covered if you bought it last October.

Didn't catch that part, yeah...Warranty is automatic for the RRoD.
But as long as I'm on the subject, what's the policy for those who paid for a warranty? Do they get extra warranty.

I know the warranty for the RRoD lasts 3 years but thats just with Microsoft and I would have to send my 360 off to get fixed and I would be at home with nothing to play but a useless PS3. I'm talking about just in-store warrantys like Best Buy and Gamestop.

Warranties from retail stores are pretty much a waste of money. The only one that matters is the RRoD warranty Microsoft gives you. As long as it's still good, there's no reason to go out and buy a new console.

There's no need to buy a new one if you have the factory warranty, to be honest. It'd be honestly better on your wallet to just send it in, sometimes they send you a brand new unit.
